Not so cocky now are you Bischoff and Hogan?
Oh wait, its not your money so you don't care.

Clearly Hogan is still a huge draw. Maybe he should be in one of the main events again next year?
Robert Roode lost at Bound for Glory?
He won the belt at a tv taping. That'll sure put some butts in seats.
I literally went to sleep for a while.

As much as I hate seeing him in the ring these days, yeah, he is a huge draw.

I thought they did a good job of promotion and build up than last year. I'm kinda suprised.
Side note, what does that translate into like a .5 in ratings?
Are numbers available for BFG pre-Hogan/Bischoff?
Looks like we should all sell our stock then guys.
Never saw PPV buyrates for TNA before this, other than hearing of the famed weekly show that got like 3 buys or something.
Going by what WWE makes on their PPVs ($20 or so per buy, after the PPV companies take a cut), TNA probably makes $15 per buy. So they made approximately $375,000 on this PPV.
And considering their biggest PPV is this low, I'd imagine that regular PPVs are at max like 100k buys.

Going to just 4 a year could help them but it could also bring them to their demise.

all wrestling PPV buyrates are down, and have been declining for a few years now
WWE draws 200k+ per PPV most of the time. TNA can barely draw a tenth of that for their biggest PPV going by these numbers. WWE draws 800k to a million for their big one. There's no excuse, especially with the potential, tested and known draws they have in their company.

it's all about the promotional budget
Yeah. Spending a million on guys like Sting and Hogan truly show they're hurting for money.

it's no secret that wwe have much much more money, therefore can spend more on promotion therefore more buys
it's just common sense
and ppv buyrates across both companies have been declining for years now
I don't even know how TNA is solvent with those PPV buy rates. Their merchandising revenue is probably in the toilet as well.

With Don West shilling at live events? You must be joking.

They've never been good at ppv numbers going as far back as their weekly ppv days.
I think it was revealed once during the thread on if or could TNA sell out Madison Square Garden for a show or ppv and the largest they ever got in ppv buys was roughly 1/3 to half the size of MSG.
There is even rumors of the next big ppv occurring in 2012 will contain another Hogan match as the main draw (rumor of Hogan and Bischoff's son vs Flair and Bischoff) and the title match only getting the hype once they figure out who will be involved when its near.

Slamiversary, Destination X and Hardcore Justice supposedly only got around 7,000-8,000 buys. Haven't seen anything for No Surrender in September but I doubt it did any better. PPVs earlier in the year had been doing less than that so theres been a small amount of improvement.

It's not like TNA is trying to hype their biggest show of the year from a 2 A.M. Saturday morning timeslot though. Their flagship show is on a major cable network and usually draws at least 1.5 million viewers a week. Them not being able to translate that into more than 25,000 buys for their biggest show demonstrates a problem more likely related to the way the product is being offered or the pricing for the product and not the promotional budget.

TNA is clearly smart.
