Where would you like to see this feud go? Do you think that Booker T may become Intercontinental champion? Do you think that would be a good idea?

Please use this thread to discuss the feud between Booker T and Cody Rhodes.

Unless they are going to have Booker wrestle on a regular basis again, Cody needs to go over.

I agree, but I thought I heard that Booker may be making at least a part time in-ring return. Maybe they were just talking about for the feud with Rhodes? I was just worried that Cody could drop the title to him when he said that Booker would never hold something like (this) over his head ever again.

Perhaps this will just be a Miz/Lawler redux.

Im hoping this is sort of like a lesser version of Orton vs Foley. Just using a big name to help get Cody over.

Maybe instead of having Booker win the title, he could cost Cody the title in a match versus someone else.

Even if Booker T is back part-time, I don't think he needs the title at this point. I am looking forward to the Rhodes feud tho

Really looking forward to it. I see Booker becoming the new Lawler and wrestling a handful of events a year.

I would have no problem with Booker T winning the title as long as he regains it back from Booker. I'd do something where Booker wins the title, and Rhodes has to win a match to get the title shot. He wins it, then regains the title back at Royal Rumble.

Cody needs to cheat to win (holding the ropes, grabbing the tights, etc.) at TLC after a fairly even match, then lose in a tag team match to Booker via shenanigans on a Smackdown, before beating Booker clean and fairly quickly at Royal Rumble #endoffeud

Wherever this feud goes, it'll only be a good idea if Cody comes out on top. I seriously doubt that this will be Booker's re-introduction to the ring, so maybe a title match or two can be a good thing.

I'd have them start of with the standard booking (beatdowns, words said between the two etc) up until TLC where they have a match. Cody wins by some form of cheap tactics. The next week on Smackdown Booker gets in the ring and talks about Cody cheating to win, showing a lack of respect to his fellow competitors. He talks about his days teaming with Codys brother, and while he didn't "get" Goldust and he was pretty weird he at least was a respectful competitor and play up Booker and Goldust being friends.

The next few weeks you could have Goldust making a few appearances, maybe even sans makeup, talking to Cody and trying to teach him to be more respectful to the guys who have paved the way for him in the company. Booker gets a rematch against Cody at the rumble, Cody grabs the win again and begins to beat on Booker, until Dusti comes out to plead with Cody to back off. Cody begins to leave but then hits Dustin with the belt, and maybe a crossrhodes onto the belt.

Have Goldust out of action for a month, but still with Cody mentioning him in promos, maybe bring out Dusty for a promo or two. Eventually after Elimination Chamber Goldust comes back and they begin the set up for the title vs career feud. You could have him stay as Dustin up until he finally puts the makeup back on for his swansong, or you could simply have him starting vignettes as Goldust against Cody (I doubt they'd give him this much at this stage of his career, especially considering there's bound to be Undertaker vignettes in a similar manner around Wrestlemania towards whoever his opponent will be).

They had a match in town yesterday for the strap. Booker was lookin pretty good in the ring. Hasn't missed a step. Cody smacked him with the belt to get the DQ and keep the strap though. And seein how they went at it and everythin... this would be a very good feud. But as far as Booker winning the belt... yeah at least once to give the feud a little longevity.

Booker will enhance Cody's career to the next level.

That is perfect. Although I'd say have Goldust team up with Booker at Wrestlemania against Cody and a deserving partner.

I'd rather they play up Booker T being hesitant about returning to the ring and wait until the Royal Rumble to finally have the match, which opens the show (have Jim Ross replace Booker). Cody Rhodes wins, then continues to beat down Booker until Goldust comes down for the save, which sets up Rhodes vs. Goldust at WrestleMania for the title.

Maybe in between the Rumble and Mania, they can do Booker & Goldust vs. Rhodes & somebody at Elimination Chamber.

The IC Championship probably won't likely be on the line it's a way to maybe to work Booker T into the active roster and put over Cody much like Foley did for Orton.

If the WWE title was on the line for the Miz/Lawler business, there's no way to be sure.

Simple......use the feud to put Cody over.
