With his relationship with TNA going sour and his financial troubles continuing to mount, word is that Hulk Hogan is in talks to return to WWE as early as the Royal Rumble. In a nod to their high-level feud several years ago, Hogan may clash with Randy Orton in the Rumble match, either causing Orton's elimination or being the last opponent eliminated by Orton.
The biggest stumbling block to this is, of course, Hogan's current legal issues with his wife. Hogan's court appearances may prove problematic to his ability to make personal appearances. The key here is that it has to be believable. The source needs to be believable. Would a production guy know about Rock refusing to lose to Cena? It has to be something that mimics old rumors that became embedded into the IWC because of their quality. Orton shitting in a diva's bag. Melina fucking wrestlers while JoMo fapped in a corner.

The twitter account is going to be the key, an anonymous source claiming to work for the WWE and reporting back-stage drama between superstars.

...Iggy, this makes a lot of sense. I think it would be better to have it play out a bit before dropping the bomb around Rumble or Wrestlemania...we start the Twitter account with a bunch of regular shit, friend a bunch of wrestlers on there...and then the week before Wrestlemania drop the bomb. Then we, in character, link to the tweet and act all amazed by it. We spread it, discuss it and promote it all over the internet, even going as far as emailing it to Ryan Clark and all the rumor sites in an attempt to get it reported.
