The most significant bullet points off the top of my head.
- The Miz held the WWE title into 2011
- Alberto Del Rio won the Royal Rumble, Kevin Nash and Booker T were guest entrants. Booker would go on to be Smackdown commentator and Nash would return at a later date...
- The Rock returned and anounced himself to be the guest host of Wrestlemania
- After a bunch of cryptic promos, The Undertaker and Triple H both returned at the same time and agreed to face off at Wrestlemania
- Alberto Del Rio lost to Edge at Wrestlemania
- Undertaker beat Triple H to keep the streak alive and hasnt been seen since
- The Miz beat John Cena at Wrestlemania with an assist from The Rock
- Edge announced his retirement due to health issues shortly after Wrestlemania
- John Cena eventually won the WWE title back off Miz
- Del Rio and Christian faced off in a ladder match for Edge's vacated World Heavyweight title, Christian won
- Christian lost the title a few days later to Randy Orton, who was drafted to Smackdown
- R-Truth turned heel and became a hilarious crazy guy, and began moving up the card
- Zack Ryder was trying to make a name for himself through Youtube videos, and became an internet sensation
- Orton and Christian had a really good feud through the summer after Christian turned heel
- CM Punk cut a shoot style promo, which became the most talked about aspect of the year. He went on to beat John Cena for the WWE Title at Money in the Bank, "leaving the company" with it.
- Daniel Bryan (smackdown) and Alberto Del Rio (raw) won their respective brands Money in the Bank matches.
- After the CM Punk saga, Vince McMahon was relieved of duty and Triple H took over
- Punk returned, became a face, and faced Cena in a rematch at Summerslam. Punk won, however Kevin Nash returned and attacked him afterwards, alloweing Del Rio to cash in his money in the bank and become WWE champ
- A bunch of people were unhappy with Triple H in charge, Punk especially, the two feuded briefly, before Punk eventually decided Trips was alright. Nash and Trips feuded.
- The Miz and crazy R-Truth teamed up after disagreeing with Triple H, they eventually got "fired".
- Mark Henry went on a dominant run on Smackdown and eventually beat Orton for the title clean, they feuded for a while.
- John Laurinaitis would replace Triple H as head of day to day stuff in WWE, he re-hired Miz and R-Truth, the two faced a returning Rock and John Cena at Survivor Series.
- Punk got his title back at some point, and still has it, mostly feuding with Laurinaitis and whoever he puts in Punks way.
- Rock and Cena beat miz and R-Truth, R-Truth got suspended for doing drugs, Miz attacked him to write him out
-Zack Ryder would eventually get a push following his successful youtube show, and win the US title off Dolph Ziggler
- Mark Henry feuded with Big Show, they used the ring exploding spot again in a match. Eventually Big Show beat Henry for the title, was attacked by Henry which led to Daniel Bryan cashing in his money in the bank on Big Show. Bryan is still champ
- Kane returned, masked!!!, attacked Cena
- last night Jericho returned - opinions differ
Also throughout the year
- Sheamus became face and is pretty over, being pushed well
- Wade Barrett has recently been on a massive role, one of the favourite to win the rumblle
- Cody Rhodes is still Intercontinental champion, he had a mask for a while, lost it recently after a brief feud with Orton. He's been great
- Dolph Ziggler is probably the next big breakout star, having improved tenfold on the mic and been the most consistent performer in the ring
- John Morrison was released

Only thing I know about TNA is Jeff Hardy turned up to a PPV for a title match against Sting completely off his barnet on drugs. They decided it was going to be too dangerous to have a proper match so it only lasted like 30 seconds.
in the 4-5 months before that, he turned heel and was probably more "interesting" than he's ever been, including his top line WWE run. But yah, he then and went and got off his tits on PPV and the geniuses in TNA actually let him go on
The Pope was on his way to being a star in TNA and then he got "TNA booked" and got lost in the shuffle
- 40 Man Rumble was EPIC. Booker T and Kevin Nash/Diesel returned. Alberto Del Rio won.
- Both Elmination Chamber matches were excellent
- The Rock returned to host WrestleMania
- WrestleMania was weak
- They announced Rock vs Cena for WM28 on the following Raw
- Edge retired
- During the draft, Cena went to SmackDown, then back to Raw in the same night. Orton was drafted to SD and stayed there
- Extreme Rules was brilliant if you're a Christian fan as he won the World Heavyweight Championship in a gripping Ladder Match against Del Rio
- The following SD, Orton beat Christian for the title to start the Fued of the Year/amake the IWC cry
- Sin Cara came in, botched to high heaven, got busted for drugs, they put another guy under the Cara mask, we had Sin Cara vs Sin Cara for a whie, ending with the second guy losng the mask and becoming Hunico. A fued between Cara and the now unmasked Hunico ended before it really got started as Cara inurd himself at Survivor Series
- Rewind a little, to the "Pipebomb From Punk" where he dropped a scathing promo on Vince, Stephanie, HHH, Johnny Ace and the general running of WWE. This started the Summer of Punk.
- Money In The Bank was booked for the internet crowd by all accounts, with Daniel Bryan becoming the MitB winner for SmackDown and Chrstian/Punk walking away with the World/WWE Titles.
-Punk "left" WWE with the belt. In his absence they created a new WWE Championship (looked the same as the old one) which Rey Mysetrio beat Miz to win, then Cena beat Rey in the same night, prompting Punk to return just 8 days after he left
- Vince was "removed from day-to-day running of the WWE", he was replaced by HHH. The "Anonymous Raw General Manager" angle was dropped without conclusion
- SummerSlam saw WWE Champion CM Punk vs WWE Champion John Cena. Punk won. Kevin Nash then attacked Punk and Alberto Del Rio cashed in the Raw MitB to become the WWE Champion
- Nash explained that "HHH had text him, telling him to 'Stick the winner' (of the match at SummerSlam"). HHH denied this. Eventually it was revealed that Nash had snuck into HHH's dressing room to text himself. Lame.
- We had build up to Nash v Punk where Punk buried Nash with his "pipebombs". Nash v Punk never happened
- Instead we got HHH v Punk, who exchanged "heated, inside" jibes at one another. Most of what Punk said during these few months went over the heads of the marks/casual fans
- Punk v HHH headlined Night of Champions - the PPV where all of the titles are defended - despite there being no title on the line. Nash got involved, attacking both men.
- Cena jumped on the "pipebomb" bandwagon to bury Del Rio in their fued. Needlessly pointing out that ADR's cars were rented.
- Meanwhile, Mark Henry was tearing through the roster, taking out Kane and Big Show along the way
- WWE under HHH became an "unsafe working environment" (despite the fact that it was pretty much business as usual for WWE) which led to virtually the entire roster walking out of Raw
- HHH was stripped of his control. John Lauranitis became Interim General Manager of Raw.
- During this time, Miz teamed with R-Truth (who had gone crazy/turned heel earlier in the year) as Awesome Truth. These two were instigators in the "HHH should be removed" storyline and appeared to be working with Lauranitis to undermne HHH
- This lead to Turth/Miz vs HHH...and Punk - who had been fueding wih one another just a month before
- Nash took out HHH with a sledgehammer.
- Punk buried Del Rio saying that he was "boring on the mic". Whilst true, there's no need to point that out
- Survivor Series saw Awesome Truth lose to Cena and Rock - who made his return to action after 7 years. Oh, and Punk won the WWE Title from Del Rio.
- TLC saw HHH and Nash in a Sledgehammer Ladder Match. HHH won, neither man has been seen since.
- Over on SmackDown, the Christian/Orton fued ended with Orton on top. He moved into a fued with Henry, where Orton put him over "big time" with 2 clean PPV loses. Orton went on to an excellent fued with Cody Rhodes and then with Wade Barrett. Orton pretty much became the MVP of SmackDown. Henry went on to fued over the strap with Big Show. This lead to TLC, where Daniel Bryan cashed in the SmackDown MitB briefcase on Big Show (who had just won the belt from Henry) to become the WHC.
Also:
- Zack Ryder started a YouTube show in an attempt to get himself over in lieu of a push/spot on TV. It worked. Months after the debut show, WWE started t push Ryder. he is now the US Champ and, more importantly, is over.
- Dolph Ziggler became "The One To Watch" with a stellar run as US Champ before dropping it to Ziggler. He pulled "Double Duty" on back-to-back PPVs an had some great TV matches with Orton and Punk (amongst others). His star is on the rise.
- Cody Rhodes surprised a lot of people who expected him to he the "Jannetty to DiBiase's Michales". His "Dashing" gimmick lead into a "disfigured and deranged" gimmick where he wore a clear, protective mask in a fued with Mysterio. The pair had a match at Mania that some say "stole the show"/was match of the night, others weren't so keen. Rhodes dropped the mask in the midst of a good IC Title run where he also brought back the "Classic" design for the belt and is now in the middle of a fued with Booker T.
- Nothing much happened in the Tag Division, despite rumours saying that WWE were looking to "revitalize" it. Hart Dynasty were split, The Usos were under-used and have not caught on with the crowd. The belts ended up on Air Boom (Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne) but they took a hit when Bourne got suspended for drug use. The same bust caused the split between Awesome Truth. Primo and Epico look to be fueding for the tites.
- As for the Divas, Awesome Kong came in as Kharma. She destroyed both face and heel divas until one week she broke down in tears in the ring. The following week she revealed she ws pregnant. She hasn't been seen since. In her absence we were subjected to the Kelly Kelly MEGA PUSH which saw her fued with (and beat on several occassions) Beth Phoenix (who is the current champion).
- Kane came back under a new mask
Damn that CM Punk promo was awesome man it seems like the World Heavyweight title has sucked i can understand Ziggler b/c he's good but i cant believe Daniel Bryan has already won the thing.
I didn't go into too much detail on the SmackDown side of things (because really, there's not a lot of point) but the WHC has been pretty great this year.
Edge v Ziggler at the start of the year was great but Ziggler's "reign" was a technicality that lasted all of 15 minutes (at best). He moved to Raw no better off for having won the WHC.
Edge v Del Rio wasn't great IMO and wasn't helped by going on first at Mania (the very first match, not the first World Title match). Edge won that, then retired with the belt.
Del Rio v Christian was good, Christian v Orton was excellent, Orton v Henry was much better than expected, as was Henry v Show. D-Bryan winning with little build may be the low point of the year for that title.

Jeff Jarrett was the most entertaining heel in wrestling for a few months
Bully Ray/Bubba Ray Dudley went from the same schtick of the last 10 years to being one of the best heels around
Could have saved myself 10 minutes with that video.

A bunch of vanilla midgets wrestled the same match in front of 200 fat ass virgins. Mom's everywhere were happy to get rid of their adult sons for the night.
