That game, once I got used to the controls again is an awesome game.

I leaped off the top of a ladder which was in the ring, landed all the way outside of the ring and nailed a leg drop on someone

the weapon system, the special meter.. the number of combinations you can do back to back, it's pretty hot... anyway, just thought It'll be cool to post a thread in here... yeah, great game :y:

I done a frogsplash off the ladder to someone outside once, it was a big holy shit moment

Just remember, the flying dropkick from the outside to inside the ring from the ladder is MY trademark.

I love the game. Definently one of my favorites. I think when I get to my new house I will have to dust off the old 64 and give the game a go.

Another thing about that game is the interaction with the weapons. Like you can do a piledriver right into the steel steps and you can hear it. HCTP doesn't have this.

Break in.. then hide it while he comes over and pays for your stolen N64

... or if you want to be all nice about it, just wait :-\

Classic game, I occasionally play it (with my semi-updated WWE roster). I love doing 40-man elimination Royal Rumbles with falls count anywhere and first blood rules.

HCTP is still miles ahead of it though.

I hated it when you would be raping the other guy but he would just start kicking your ass again.

Yeah, I wish they did. You could recreate the classic Rock "People's Elbow On A Ladder" moment from Summerslam 98. I always liked doing the People's Elbow on a ring bell...

...though the Smackdown series had some classic finishers of its own, the No Mercy-lineage games had moves I never saw again like the Ganso Bomb ("Hangman's DDT") and the Screwdriver...

If they combined the controls of Def Jam Vendetta and WM XIX, added the sheer massive move list of the Fire Pro games and added the story mode from HCTP, that would do it.

Yeah me and my bud used to do the 40-man elimination thing, took us 3 1/2 hours to get through one once cause we were just fooling around the whole time

Don't ever say HCTP is better though

I wish they could just take No Mercy. Leave everything alone except just update the roster and storymode, add HITC and have 6 people on a screen and release it for Gamecube.

Well, I'd want more moves, updated graphics (floating arms on the women :wtf: ), more CAW options, the ability to use ladders in ring and a better create-an-entrance, but yeah, that would be a hell of an update as it is. :y:

Has anyone ever done this in a ladder match?

You set up the ladder in the ring close to the lower ropes, then you get a special and do the sweet Chin Music (or similar non-slam/submission special) on the announce table, then climb the ladder and hit your top rope special off the ladder out of the ring through the table? They take forever get up after that.

Yeah, but I normally just bound them down with a chair or something before putting them on the table.

Yeah, see that's what I was talking about. The best was having somebody lie on the ladder on the floor and then I come off the top rope with a 450. The impact was sick.

But seriously, and this is a little off topic, but the greatest day is when they come out with a wrestling game you can play online. That is just going to rule all.

Yeah, that will be the day when I finally get the PS2 adapter thingy. So far nothing really takes my fancy, although I do have SO-COM.
