Is he a heel or face right now ?

What are your thoughts on what hes currently doing?

I think he went to TNA and is currently a tweener.

He's in the process of turning. Technically, it's still OK to be a Daniel Bryan fan in the WWE's eyes. Booker T and Josh Mathews are. But you are meant to be noticing changes in Daniel Bryan's personality, and it's obvious that he's using his girlfriend as a shield, etc.

Personally, I love this. I would have been more for Big Show turning heel a week ago, but Bryan is really shining in this role. He's better at cutting heel promos than babyface promos, and his work on SmackDown! was so good. It walks the line between bringing up fair points and rubbing shit into babyfaces', well, faces more than necessary. The number of times he's brought up Big Show's shortest title reign is gold. Bryan has done a fantastic job of selling the idea of Big Show eventually punching Daniel Bryan in the face and taking that World Heavyweight Title from him, which is everything a heel character is meant to do. Yes, I said it -- right now, Daniel Bryan is playing a character to perfection.

It's very hard to feel sorry for Big Show, but somehow this angle is going to accomplish it, I think. Right now, Show's work is vastly underrated, in my opinion. He's showing some great emotion, and I've got a feeling that Bryan is going to use Show's size against him -- the harm a man his size could accidentally cause has not been used as an emotional arc for Big Show, to my knowledge. Of course, the pay-off being that Show snaps out of it, realises that Daniel Bryan has set this all up, and uses his size to punish Bryan.

They are turning him heel so he can job to Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

At least that's what I hope they are doing.

Agreed I love his promos against show and from what I can see hes only being a heel because his two main opponents are freakishly huge men and I think Booker T pointed it out hes only doing what he has to to beat Henry and Show given his predecerment hes being practical (he won clean over Kingston) the celebrating is over the top but excusable. but his turn as a manipulative bastard is great its like hes using his previous turn as an aw shucks good guy to get help from people like the divas.

I disagree on one point, feeling bad for the Big Show is easy surprisingly so. He's a big loveable guy doesnt mean to hurt anyone and Bryan this little piss ant is using his "gentle"nature against him.

Heel Daniel Bryan is so much better. He should go ahead and rename himself as Bryan Danielson.

SmackDown!'s ratings were dropping with Mark Henry as champion...

And Randy Orton as champion...

And Christian as champion...

And Edge as champion...

And Dolph Ziggler as champion...

This is pretty much on the spot. I will never understand why the WWE had Daniel Bryan win Money in the Bank, clearly wanting him to be a future World Heavyweight Champion, only to then put the guy on a losing streak. July 2011 should have been the start of the man's rise, and instead we get him winning matches exclusively when he was put on Superstars duty.

And let's not forget randomly handing him the US Championship with no build, angle, or direction after he came back from being "fired". His rise should have been back then, and a couple of other people who could benefit from the elevation of a title feud.

This. I mean fuck we've bitched about this ad length but it bears repeating;Bryan should have been leaving a trail of bodies in his wake after MITB instead the WWE make him the company's whipping boy part of me wonders if it was a shot at the IWC for being so in love with the guy. Still the way he was handled was complete balls.

i think smackdown being in fri a taped show too kills raitings, but it is still the higest raited show on syfy. i think wwe knows that smackdown raitings will not be as high as raw so uses that show to take risks like henry christian and brian. if they move it to live on tue then they will give the belt to people like cena.

I doubt it was a shot at the IWC. Why basically give the guy a tagline of "We want you to be a big deal" and then make sure that he's not. There was just no foresight in the booking there, and seems completely counter-productive to me.

Or he could always drop the gimmick for no reason and turn heel and....
