When Evan Bourne hits his third strike (based on current trends I'm going to say about 27 seconds after his current suspension is up... at least Jeff Hardy had enough time for a cup of coffee between suspensions) PAC should be the one to take his spot.

Just calling him Pac sounds boring.

They should call him Y-Pac.

X-Pac was a good cruiserweight, so Y-Pac is even better and is the sequel to X-Pac.

Post a promo.

I second this.

Also, I can't help but get the feeling his repertoire would go to waste in WWE. I feel as though they would cherry-pick 4-5 of his 'safest' moves and leave the rest to rot.

Listened to him on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling deal. Seems like a nice guy, and I hope the best for him. He's apparently making a decent living out of his indy work, so for people who talk shit about him, you shouldn't be so judgemental. I'm not into the indy stuff that much, but to be able to make an actual living working those shows must tell you something about the guy.

Indifferent Clox
01-21-2012, 07:16 PM
Ton of Indy guys just as good in the ring as just about every wwe Guy. They just aren't as charismatic or their style.would be non complimentary to wwe. Or they're just not attractive lol

Ol Dirty Dastard

Anyone knows this. However, to be able to stand out in the WWE means you have to have the IT factor. It's what separates CM Punk and to a lesser extent Daniel Bryan from indy guy a and indy guy b. And not just "IT" factor, they're just savvy and clearly have figured out how to play the game.

To everyone asking "post a promo":

... that's what a manager is for. Nobody said that shit about Lesnar when he was green and Heyman was talking for him. No one said "he can't cut a promo, he won't be worth anything."

Bashing spot-monkeyism (yes, I made that a word, !3MTA3) *just because* doesn't mean a) it's not entertaining and b) it doesn't have a place in the world of wrestling. Just because some people on teh internets don't like "800 flip kings" doesn't mean the potential cash cow isn't there for the milking.

Captain of Fun
01-21-2012, 08:14 PM
I don't even care if a guy is a spot monkey. Sometimes I like to watch a high energy match with lots of flippity flops. Other times I like to watch a slower match that tells a good story.

So he's a spot monkey. Doesn't make what he does any less amazing.

Personally, I like M-Dog 20 more than Evan Borne. Having him on Tough Enough made it even a bigger joke. The thing about guys like this is they dont "tell a story" in the ring. It's just big move, high flying, reversal, almost a pin, repeat.

Tom Guycott
01-23-2012, 12:23 AM
Eeeh, I wouldn't make that comparison. lol

I would. And did. Point was, Lesnar, as far as anyone knew, sight unseen, just "looked the shit"... much like guys like Batista, Nathan Jones, Jackson Andrews, etc... and wowing over how impressive he looked. No one was asking to hear promos, ready to shit on him because he couldn't cut one (and to be truly fair, he sucked ass at them early on, got better with time, but still...). The "wow" factor for a guy like PAC is in a different way, but it's still the same issue. Give him a mouthpiece if he can't get it done by talking.

Why is it much more important for a guy to be able to talk AS WELL AS dazzle people in the ring as opposed to someone who just stands around looking massive and menacing and may/my not be able to talk for squat?

He is physically gifted... he is capable of doing pretty much anything, as he is strong as fuck with the extra 20 pounds of muscle and still quick. What he should be doing is watching Dynamite Kid matches and learn something about psychology while also being able to high fly. Or even more importantly, Chris Jericho matches. However I must say, from listening to his interview with Colt he is a definite student of the game and is still VERY young and will only get better.

He's also catering to a crowd who wants him to be a spot monkey and eat all that shit up. That also needs to be taken into account. Who knows how he'd wrestle in front of a WWE type crowd, under WWE type restrictions.

the "flippy guys can only work with other flippy guys" argument holds no water. you see them paired against each other often simply because people will pay to see it. its not that you suddenly cant work a lucha/lucharesu/or us indy style when you work some who's working say a memphis stlye. is just the pacing will have to change to commidate.

Mr. Nerfect
01-25-2012, 11:17 PM

This is pretty much what I agree with. PAC sets himself apart from the pack in the independent scene by floating around and doing cool shit. People pay to see it and mark out live. It doesn't mean the dude can't tell a story. He's just marketing himself well.

Plus, I like how "clunky" he makes everything look. He doesn't make everything smooth, and it adds a bit of realism to his style. I was recently thinking about PAC signing with the WWE, essentially filling the John Morrison/Evan Bourne holes and becoming "Thomas Saint" or something like that (homage to both The Dynamite Kid and Johnny Saint).

Also, Kevin Steen right now is one of the hottest prospects in independent wrestling. He seems like the uncrowned ROH World Champion right now. He's got that "I'm really going to kick your ass" charisma mixed with the "common man" look. I don't know if it would translate over to a stage like the WWE, but I could certainly see him in TNA.

Indifferent Clox
01-25-2012, 11:27 PM
That's why I tthink he and Kingston should team.

Mr. Nerfect
01-25-2012, 11:30 PM
I've got to be honest -- not too big on Kingston. I've heard he's got charisma and whatever, but he's just never been a guy I was too interested in. I think Steen killing bitches dead on his own works fine.

Also, El Generico should have a career in the WWE. He could be a babyface similar to The Hurricane, Spike Dudley and Santino Marella easily. That plucky, likeable mid-carder role that somehow overachieves.

Indifferent Clox
01-25-2012, 11:31 PM
Definetly. Generico and cabana would be an amazing team for wwe in my opinion.

Mr. Nerfect
01-25-2012, 11:36 PM
Colt Cabana should be in the WWE, but I don't think they should ignore his relationship with CM Punk. I'd see him more as a loose associate, working in the mid-card (a feud with Jack Swagger could be amazing), but having some backstage segments or even a WWE.com show with Punk. Then, in the draft, Cabana gets separated and sent to SmackDown!, or something.

Generico would work better with a no-nonsense partner. He's the funny, likeable, charismatic act; whereas his partner is the ruthless dude who hot tags in. I can't think of anyone in particular right now (Mason Ryan and Skip Sheffield don't seem right). Even though he's not no-nonsense, Brodus Clay could be good. Their tag team name could be "Our Bad."

Indifferent Clox
01-25-2012, 11:39 PM
Well word is that z long island story may become a wwe network show. So cabana and punk having theeir own show like the art of Wrestling would be awesome.
