I usually install games I play a lot of and I've installed Duke Nukem Forever before with no problem. I haven't played it in a while so deleted it from the HDD until now.

Now that I've decided to wrap up DNF before the MGS HD collection is released here next week, I can't seem to install it. I've got 11GB of space and I think the game is only 6 or 7 GB so it's nothing to do with space.

It just has the "Installing DNF. Do not turn off your console." with the spinning circle and the progress bar but no progress is being made and the console isn't making the sound it makes when it's installing a game.

Any help?

Every problem ive had with the 360 the usual answer online is to delete the cache

Try deleting the install, then re-installing it.

Seriously, I had that issue with a different game that I had installed before, and deleted. I tried to install it again and it hung up on me. On the drive, it was there as if it had completely installed. Just make sure if you have saves and your game in the same place that you don't accidentally nuke your save files instead of the game files. Shouldn't be a problem, but still...

If that doesn't work, try clearing the cache... but that's a big pain due to HAVING TO UPDATE EVERYTHING again after.

If neither one of those two don't work, I don't know what to tell you.

Cleared the cache, didn't help. I looked in the hard drives storage and it's not there so I can't try out the "delete and try again" idea.

It must just be the game because I'm installing Saints Row 3 without an issue.

I could just play DNF without it being installed. I can't imagine I have much longer to go before I finish anyway but it's just incase the same thing happens with another game that I'll be playing for more than a week.
