Does anyone else think their "feud" is an updated version of the Lawler / Kaufman "feud", or is it just me?
The more it gets covered, the more I smell rehash of the L / K angle. :nono:

Rock is "from Hollywood"
That's about the only similarity I'm seeing.

Yea, I dont think Andy Kauffman went into his program with a history of being one of the top two talents during the most swooned over period of wrestling.

Fair enough... and I'll admit my question was too broad.
My issue with their whole feud is that I cant buy that these two really dislike each other as much as they're hyping, and that I suspect its been mostly faked up to this point, like L/K was.
I'm guessing that initially there was some legitimate heat between the two (rock being a former wrestler in Hollywood and Cena being a wrestler at the time, and from what I remember, cena was on some non wrestling show and he fired the first shot i think at rock or vice versa, which started this whole thing), but to me that probably died long ago.
I'm probably wrong, but its all good either way.

I don't buy that they dislike each other any less than I buy that two guys dislike each other in most feuds. I buy it more so actually since there's obviously some level of legit tension between them. I'm pretty sure they both actually mean the things they say even if their actual anger about it is exaggerated.

A shame, too. wrestling is usually pretty realistic.

Which is why this faked drama is such a tragedy. I expect real hatred when two artistic combatants go at it.

Eerie Similarities:
-Andy Kaufman and the Rock are both celebrities.
-"Andy" and "Rock" have the same number of letters.
-Neither of them have been in TNA.
-Neither of them were the one who ran over Austin.
-They both sported goofy sideburns.
-Both had musical elements to their gimmicks.
Coincidence? You decide!

Giant April Fools Joke..they're going to get in the ring looking at each other seriously like they want to rip each other apart limb from limb..bell rings and then they just hug, wave and leave...and then Cena goes off with Rock to become a real hollywood moviestar.
