Well? What were some of your favorites growing up? You know, the movies you'd always watch, assuming of course you'd watch a movie over and over like I did.

Mine included La Bamba, Pet Sematary, Batman (Michael Keaton), Revenge of the Nerds, and tons of other flicks.

Now to give the thread more life...

What movie would be synonymous with your childhood? What is the one flick you just couldn't imagine growing up without?

For sure Monster Squad. I was a big monsters fan as a kid and loved Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy and stuff like that and that one flick had all of them in it at once.

Haven't seen it in years though. I kinda want to watch it but every time I go to DL it I stop because I'm worried that the movie is going to be crap and ruin the memories.

I had a similar experience when I was 6. I really wanted to see a Friday the 13th movie because Jason looked awesome but my mother wouldn't let me.

So I asked my grandmother, she said yes. Watched almost all of it. There's this one scene where Jason looks into the kid's cabin through a window and that was it for me. Went into the other room to watch my Donald Duck videos.

I didn't sleep for a week after that but ever since then I've never been scared by a horror movie. Feel like I ruined it for myself.
