Alot of people like to point out that TLC match he and edge had, and it was good.

Just Re-watched WM18 and man, that match with Taker was amazing.

Not thebest story, or the best work rate, but it was Flair doing his THING. more so than I feel like he did even with Evolution and after.

He had the big hair soaked in blood. AA make an appearance. Classic flair spots.

I think that match was his best match in the last 15 years plus.

I do love that match, absolutely brutal hard hitting classic match for both guys. One of my favorite streak matches, probably top 5. Though come on, Flair's last GREAT match, how could it not be vs HBK at Wrestlemania, what a bookend to the classic career of Flair.

MMMM...You did hit my theory hard. That final match was amazing. Top 5 on his list perhaps. But it was all predicated on Flairs retirement.

Watching this match was like watching Old Flair do his thing, and seems like the last time he was Ric Flair, before he became the "old" ric Flair. Just watching his face in that match took me to the fucking Thunderdome with Funk

Random thought... This match has my favorite execution of a superplex ever

Yeah the drama of Flair retiring was amazing. That aside I still think he had several great matches in his last run with WWE. However, when I think of Wrestlemania 18 the first thing that comes to mind is Flair/Undertaker.

The match is underrated by many, or at least forgotten. I'd say because it's not a typical "great work rate match" with tons of spots and moves. Just a very realistic style wrestling match, like you said of the 80's Ric Flair era.

I think some of the BRUTAL Triple H/Flair matches from 2005 are underrated.

There were only 2: Steel Cage @ Taboo Tuesday and Last Man Standing @ Survivor Series. The story was beautiful: Ric Flair celebrating winning the IC Title. Triple H returned at WWE Homecoming (first RAW back on USA Network) in a tag match w/ Ric Flair vs Chris Masters and Carlito. Triple H proceeded to turn on Flair while celebrating their win and beat the ever loving fuck out of him. Triple H's motivation being that he can't stand seeing Flair being a pathetic shell of a man and that Triple H will put him out of his misery and take his place as the new "Dirtiest Player in the Game" and "The Man". Brutal, Emotional, Intense, Dramatic...this is pro wrestling.

That Mania match was a fucking turd, Flair gassed after a minute and sandbagged most Takers shit.

Arn Anderson spinebuster was cool tho.

Flair/Jericho in 2002 was pretty good.

I can't believe we're overlooking the classics that he and Hogan have had since leaving the WWE!

The match with Undertaker and Flair at Wrestlemania 18 is one of the only streak matches I actually like. The only other ones I really like are Batista at WM 23, Kane at WM14, Edge at WM24, and the HBK vs. Taker at WM 26. WM 25 is great as well, but the build-up and the energy going into the rematch was better. I am not a fan of the other matches he has had at Wrestlemania.

Flair's last great match was against Shawn Michaels at WM24. It was the best match at that one in my opinion.

The Cage Match at Taboo Tuesday definitely is a good match. I thought it was one of the best ones of both guy's careers. The Last Man Standing Match at Survivor Series was pretty good, but the cage match was much better in my opinion.

The only reason I rewatch that match....just wish every now and again they'd find a reason for him to come out randomly and hit one.

I think it is the combination of Flairs amazing selling, and that really think and puffy hair filled with blood. Later on and into today, he slicks his hair and it is really starting to go, but at WM18 the classic COIF was in full effect.

Speaking of Ric vs. Shawn, here's their very first match against each other...

Thank you, that match is up there as one of my favorite matches of all time. Not just the match itself (which is good) but the psychology of this match is what puts it over the edge. Undertaker going after David & Arn till he gets what he wants, the crowd was going crazy, the AA spinebuster out of nowhere, all that is what makes the match one of my favorites.
