Forever Friend

My Friends, if you chance to think of me and turning, find that I am not here
I'm by your side, though you cannot see
So, smile for me. wipe away your tears.

He who is loved is never truly gone
Nor one who has ever touched a heart
Some of me will always carry on
In memories of which I've been a part.

Friendships like ours are precious and rare
Be thankful for the time that we had
Remember the laughter that we shared
You know the good times outshone the bad.

No matter how harsh the pain may be
Through the passage of time the hurt will mend
Be happy in your hearts with thoughts of me
As memory recalls a loving friend.
