Depends on whether you mean for the individual person or for the business as a whole. If it's the latter then most likely Hogan slamming Andre as Supreme said.

Hogan joining the NWO was a big deal and so was Austin stunning McMahon but I don't think they're THE greatest moments.

I'm not sure that counts as a great moment dude,in
fact most accounts of the event seem to be in the terrible idea badly executed and best forgotten.

probably Hogan Slamming Andre.....
WrestleMania being a success. If it had flopped, everything would be very different now. It birthed the modern era of wrestling.

I like how this video includes an entrance, is the entire match, has the aftermath and is only 10 seconds longer than that clip from a match.
Best moment ever.

WrestleMania I being a success and Hogan slamming Andre are two that come to mind, historically, but not ones I was around for.
The moment I heard about being a non-wrestling fan was Stone Cold Steve Austin winning his first WWE Title from Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV. It's hard to imagine that it was almost two years after his initial King of the Ring victory that really set the wheels in motion for Austin's rise to the top. Their fandom was no doubt affected by the Austin/Tyson stuff, which has already been mentioned. Definitely deserves a place in the "Greatest Moment Hall of Fame" so to speak.

Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman in a WWE ring together for the first time before One Night Stand. Easily the three biggest game changers in wrestling history standing together.
