Just a quick question throughout the TPWW network, as some of you might have seen Bully Ray looks in fantastic shape right now, doing his thing in the main event of TNA. He's been brilliant and i have never seen him work so hard and so consistantly great in forever. I was lucky to meet him in Manchester last month and not only is he so over as a heel but he is so fucking funny and nice to the fans. Just wondered what peoples thought of him were and if people could see him as a World Champion these days (and don't give me that shit about anyone being champion in TNA).

yeah, he's pretty "legit" now. I mentioned elsewhere on here but it's a shame he didn't do this 10 years ago.

WWE Tried 10..er..almost 10 years ago. Remember the brand split sent Bubba to RAW and D-Von to SD. They shoved Bubba in the top level scene pretty quickly.

that's what I was referencing, I mean the amount of effort he's put into his character, getting in shape etc, if he'd have shown that during that run, things could have worked out differently

Can somebody post a picture of how he looks these days? I'm too lazy to go look myself.

Im amazed that TNA has succeeded where WWE miserably failed that goes for both dudleys tho Bully is the more featured of the two, Now if I could just bring myself to get past the name BullyRay.

Could have also worked better if his gimmick weren't a poor man's Dusty Rhodes. D-Von was closer then to what Bubba is doing now with his whole "crooked preacher" deal.

Bully Ray's getting very consistent. I hope he wins the World title one day.

i was thinking this while watching the last impact. taz was making light of how he was the only one in that 4 way that hasnt been world champ, but basically putting him over as legitimately being able to win it. i think they would be stupid not to give him a run at the belt. and it seems like tna is kind of going that way, with the slight crack in the "friendship" between him and roode. he is a great ring worker, excellent on the mic, puts on a great match, and can wrestle with anyone in the ring. without a doubt he is a legit guy to hold the strap

He's apparently entertaining in TNA right now. Personally, he's never done it for me, but I guess I should watch his TNA stuff. I read some reporter doing some sort of MVP award for TNA one year, and listing the best matches, promos, segments, etc. in TNA. The award actually ended up going to Brother Ray over guys like Kurt Angle and AJ Styles, just because of how much subtly great stuff Ray had been a part of over the year. So his greatness is nothing new, I guess, but it's just been more apparent since the split with Devon.

Personally, I hope to see "Bubba Ray Dudley" back in the WWE. I'd like to see him get the chance to sell himself as a guy who is considered the "greatest tag team wrestlers of all-time" coming back to prove he's just the "greatest wrestler of all-time." Could be a heat machine in the WWE.

Absolutely agree. Bubba Ray should be feuding with guys like CM Punk over titles, not wrestling the Usos on SmackDown.

The physical transformation of both member of 3D over the last year is amazing. Both guys were well overweight at the end of their tag team run and they've both gotten into sape. Credit to them both.

I feel there's a comparison to be made between Bubba and JBL. I saw neither guy as World Champion material when they were part of a team, then suddenly...

I really like Devon. It's been harder for him to tap into an interesting character, I think. He's had less of a shift and is more or less playing the same babyface character he was in Team 3D. Plus, it seems harder to get over as a face guy leaving a tag team than a renovated heel guy. It doesn't help that Devon was ready to roll over and retire in kayfabe, while it was Bully Ray's drive to survive that allowed his transformation, with Devon just coming along for the ride.

Personally, I'd like to see Devon win the TNA Television Championship. It's not like TNA is doing anything with Robbie E. at the moment. Devon's a good worker with tons of experience. He deserves a shot to get over on his own, and a singles run with a title that is almost forgotten might as well be that shot.

I like him too. Probably drinking from Big Poppa Pump's water bottle though.

I'm impressed with how far he's come along as a heel in TNA. Now he just needs to get some knee pads and he'll be ready for a title run.

I've been thoroughly impressed with Mr. Ray. I love how he shows off his calf muscles. Hilarious, yet threatening on the mic and better in the ring than he's ever been. Definitely championship material, especially in TNA.

Pretty much, he had some low level feud where he "brainwashed" Devon's kids, I don't know/ care what they did with it. I think Bully has been consistantly getting better, if he keeps going in this direction I think he'll be ready for a title run very soon

I remember him saying to Vince in the ruthless aggression promo the look in his eyes was Hunger, apparently it was resolved 5 minutes later with a Happy meal.

Of course. Paul E. Dangerously. The man who drove the original ECW down to the ground, because of his own stubborness. And the guy Bill Watts fired from WCW for allegedly falsifing expense reports in a four-month period.
