If you had a gimmick match...

what would it be? What would you call it? Explain.

I've only ever come up with one really cool idea for a gimmick match...well, it was cool to me when I was fifteen years old and I'm still rather fond of it. I don't remember what I called it when I was a kid, but I'd imagine "Hard Time" would be a good name to me.

Anyways, the premise is basically a mixture of cage match and a ladder match. The first 15-30 minutes the wrestlers both men are locked in a cage. Escape is an automatic DQ before the time goes out and after reaching the predetermined time the cage is unlocked and the first man to climb a 20 foot ladder all the way at the end of the entrance-way to (ring the bell, capture the belt/suitcase/whatever) is the victor.

Finishes would be open-ended obviously as they are with all matches. I always imagined that the heel would try to escape the cage early (knowing full well that doing so was losing the match) or that he'd get his ass handed to him only to come back to steal the win after the cage was unlocked. There'd always be the option of both men getting DQ'd during a spot atop the cage or for both men to get knocked out via a suplex off the twenty foot ladder etc.

So basically part one of the match is all about revenge, while the second part is more about which wrestler can climb the ladder.

Gouging, Burning, Slashing Match Where You Can Get Burned And Possibly Really Really Hurt (GBSMWYCGBAPRRH for short) was a match I did a few times in my early e-fed days when I was still young.

Basically a hell in a cell... where the ropes were barbed wire... and there were weapons in trash cans at each turnbuckle... and the cage itself was superheated so it would burn.

Nuclear Armageddon (a deathmatch version of the War Games)

Two rings enclosed by a steel cage wrapped in barbed wire and explosives with weapons and after all 10 men are in (2 teams of 5), the timer will be set to 5 minutes before the ring explodes, unless a submission or surrender occurs before then.

How about a match that starts with 20 guys trying to get into the ring, the first 10 get in then have a battle royal until the last 4 then they have a tag team match then the winning team faces each other in a single match. Anyone have TNAs number?

Dragon Ball Z match: Two competitors, most likely extremely buff and void of charisma (example: Mason Ryan vs Ezekiel Jackson) stand across the ring from each other for 3 episodes of RAW or Smackdown! shouting and making faces as if they were constipated. The winner would be decided when one of them finally hits one massive move to defeat his opponent and send him off television with an 'injury' until some of his friends wish for him to come back.

Reverse bra and pantie match: Two women enter the ring naked. To win you must put a bra and panties on your opponent.

Im sure I posted this one before, but a Lost and Found match where the winner has to find an object hidden somewhere ringside.

I also had a falls count somewhere match where falls only count in certain places and the referee has to tell them if they're hot/cold or in the right spot.

Similar to that I had a some holds barred match where random moves are banned before the match and made known to everyone..

Pinball Match: Match takes place in a giant replica Pinball board. Throw your opponent around the obstacles like a giant ball to score points. Multiball brings in extra opponents (like members of your stable if u have one). Once a pinfall/submission takes place (which gets you 100 pts), whoever has the most points wins.

Self KO match

The match ends only when a wrestler is successfully able to knock himself out. The main objective of the match is to inflict as much pain as possible on one-self until he or she gets knocked out.

The competitors are allowed to stop their opponents from inflicting pain on themselves.

The match continues as long as all the competitors are conscious.

A wrestler is disqualified if an official catches him in any kind of physical altercation with his opponent.

Self KO tag team match

In order to win the contest, both wrestlers of a team are required to get knocked out. Unlike a regular Self KO match, tag team members are allowed to inflict pain on each other. They are also allowed to stop their opposing tag team from inflicting pain on themselves.

The match continues until both members of a tag team are knocked out.

A tag team is disqualified if an official catches any one of the team to be in any sort of a physical altercation with their opponents.

The premise of such a match is an upside-down hell in a cell cage structure with a wrestling ring placed in the center.

No Holds Barred rules apply inside the cage and everything is legal. Submissions and pinfalls are not counted.

The only way to win the match is by climbing the structure and escaping with both the feet touching the floor.

In case both the opponents' feet touch the floor at the same time, the wrestlers are required to re-climb the structure and the first wrestler to enter the ring with both of his feet grounded on the mat wins. If both the wrestlers feet are grounded on the mat at the same time, they are again required to escape the structure. This procedure continues until a clear winner can be decided.

My trademark was the Casa de Muerte (House of Death) match, where the match takes place inside of a house. You could use anything in the house/yard as a weapon and falls counted anywhere on the property.

My e-fed gimmick involved a hacksaw and a chair with c4 strapped to it via barbwire.

I always suggest this one, but I am yet to see it done (it probably has been, though). It's basically your average Triple Threat or Fatal 4-Way, but with the winner being the first to get a fall against all his opponents.

I also don't mind the idea of a match where you earn a handicap. For example, let's use CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho and Sheamus. Put them into teams of Punk & Sheamus and Bryan & Jericho. The winner of the first fall allows his partner to enter the match. If they get another fall, then they win the match. So the onus is then on the lone guy to get a fall and even up the odds.

"Build Me A Sculpture" match, in which the two opponents would sculpt a tribute to my likeness and the best one would win.

"Sell My T-Shirts" match, in which the competitors would sell my merch in the crowd for a certain period of time.

"Write an Epic Poem About Me" match.

"Pick Up My Laundry" match.

Pretty Cool, I bet most people didnt know Mike Awesome was in TNA durring their early days. It would be called the same thing Ultimate Sin Match. It would be better organized, you go up the ladder to get lighter fluid and a lighter (sounds alittle better than a baseball bat)
