You could have him tag with someone, and slowly the two of them become great friends (do vignettes of them hanging out). Drew develops feelings for the guy, and at first, gets frustrated because he doesn't know what's happening. He realizes eventually (perhaps on a double date his tag partner and him go to, where he just can't get it on), and is at crossroads. Eventually, he tells his partner, the other guy freaks out, and Drew snaps.

Or, have him turn in to a submission machine.
