How quickly we forget WCW and the few good things there were.

Post Radicalz jumping ship, outside of Steiner running his mouth WCW was historically bad.

But out of that rose Lance Storm. My all time number one.

I used to have two TVs going. One to watch WWF....one waiting on Lance Storm to show up.

He was the BEST thing going in WCW, and even they didnt fuck him up as badly as WCW normally does.

He never got as BIG in the WWE as he was in WCW, when he was a main draw. (Im not ignoring his ECW time which made me a lifelong fan - just focusing this post on his WCW run - post ECW moments if you wish)

Post all your amazing Lance Storm Moments here.

lance storms "failure" in the wwe was lawler's fault for not getting that boring gimmick was supposed to be contained to just his promos. the wrestling fan base being easy to manipulate so how were convinced that high quality wrestling was boring. something that is still believed by some to this day. sad times.

Exactly. His "failure" is a good run in the top company in the world, so he could do worse. But he was buried with the "BORING' shit and then Buried trying to get out of it.

He played his same "Plain" WCW role but needed to be pushed as the tops in the ring.

Despite all the 'boring' remarks, I've always thought Lance Storm was great. He was a natural in the ring, and had his moments where he could be funny or charismatic. I think people assume just because he doesn't come out shouting like The Rock or making über comedy like Santino that he isn't 'charismatic'.

he isn't charismatic. I think even he'd tell you that

BigDaddyCool

He definitely has that iceman/professional/machine type personality where he comes in to do what he is great at without getting emotional about it. But you could tell he had passion in the ring.

He would have been well suited to having a manger or mouth piece to promote him but they don't do that anymore...which I think is a lose to in the industry.

Lance Storm's worst career move: dropping the Power Ranger tights

He was the first guy I used in Here Comes The Pain to get to 99 rating overall.... And I loved the Power Rangers tights as well......

I remember watching him and Chris Jericho as a tag team when I had SMW on syndication. They were a great team. And years later, when they're both in the WWE, they made great rivals.

He has zero charisma. That's his downfall.

Yeah Unfortunately he pretty much owns professional wrestling.

Lance should've been the Grand Slam Singles Champion in WCW, holding the World Heavyweight, U.S. Heavyweight, Hardcore, and World Cruiserweight titles simultaneously.

Yeah, it's so unfortunate when people become successes and don't cater to fat basement dwelling virgins.

Lance Storm held five championships over his time in the WWE. I wouldn't say that he got treated like shit, or anything like that. Could he have been given a more serious push that could have turned him into more of a "star?" Sure, absolutely. But I don't think the guy is too bitter about anything. He seems to have a good relationship with the WWE.

I'd actually fucking love it if Lance Storm made a few appearances as an authority figure, or something. "If I could be serious for a moment..." would make a great "Excuse me!" type line. With the WWE having Mike Dalton and Tenille Tayla under developmental contract, I would not mind seeing Lance Storm come back as their on-air associate, either. But I don't think Storm has any interest in that.

For those not aware, Lance Storm will be wrestling Mike Bennett at ROH's upcoming "Young Wolves Rising" show, which I believe is also their tenth anniversary, at Hammerstein Ballroom. I probably won't be watching, but somebody in this thread might be into it.

Mike Bennett will be picked up by the WWE soon enough. I hope Maria goes with him.
