I get the feeling throughout this Cena/Ryder/Eve/Kane thing that the writers kinda just went week by week and didn't know exactly where they were going. Remember when Eve got pissed at Cena and told him to just leave her and Zack alone? Nothing really came of it. It all just seemed to scattered.
This did:

Yeah, a part of me thinks that maybe Cena wasn't supposed to come out. Cena got his solo time last week, but The Rock doesn't get solo time this week?

Are you people retarded? Did you no hear thousands of people chanting whatever the hell the Rock wanted them to chant? Was the audience not eating up every word Rock said? Not to mention, everything he said got people talking all around the world..
Cena came out, and made everyone in the audience fall asleep, he was BORING. The Rock owns Cena, owns the audience, and owns this years Wrestlemania.
That is fact, so get over your "love" for Cena because he said the Rock isn't there every week, "OMGZZ He is saying whatz realzzz" Yeah he isn't there every week because he is out working for a living, and making a damn good living at that. Yeah, a part of me thinks that maybe Cena wasn't supposed to come out. Cena got his solo time last week, but The Rock doesn't get solo time this week?
It's just, after Cena left, Rock looked like he had lost his train of thought and was constantly messing up and stuttering what he was saying and he looked agitated and pissed off.
I think Cena was suppose to come out.
I don't think Rock likes that the boys in the back might actually be really mad and or upset. I think that bothers him.
And Rocky did not like the thing Cena said about the notes.

1) So Rock doesn't care about WWE but comes back for Wrestlemania anyway despite the fact he could be making much more money doing something else that weekend with much less risk. If Rock gets injured at WM he could lose millions off missing 1 film, Cena would have to miss the whole year.
2) Rock went away and became a "Movie Star", well what about the fans who don't get to see John Cena while he was filming the marine, or 12 rounds. Similarly Zak Ryder is currently off TV filming.
3) Cena was one of the millions who missed Rock when he left before he could say "Rocky don't go", except he came back at least three times after that to help WWE out of the sh*t when Austin left suddenly.
Rock's promo tonight wasn't the killer I hoped it would be, but Cena has in no way won, not even close. He is still clinging on to the idea that Rock is oh so selfish for leaving yet has done similar (less successfull) projects himself. Rock doesn't need to come back to WWE as much as WWE needs him to come back, its not like Rock's career has failed and he is back looking for a paycheque.
Cena called Rock out on the wrist notes, but other than that nothing Cena said or did was new, he already said that last week.
One overall feeling does strike me though, for all the worked shoots and back and forth, not once has Cena aknowledged that the reason Rock states that we hate Cena is 100% on the money.
Anyway, great atmosphere, great crowd, and the fued is definately heating up going into WM. As long as noone gets injured, it should be a great month or so.

The thing that makes The Rock The Rock is the rapid fire delivery, and I don't get why he didn't do that until the end.
I think he really got affected by the goosebumps and the crowd reaction because every promo of his that wasn't from satellite since his first return ends up starting out slow and then getting to the classic rapid fire Rock style.
I also think unlike Cena, he's not really taking this as personal as Cena is which is why Cena's sounds a lot better because of the motivation.
The biggest benefit the Rock has with his promos is the crowd stays active a lot longer than with Cena to the point they start to really take over his segments.
Wake Up Call

Rock can get crowd chanting no matter what he does, the crowd saved him a bit but he didn't really add anything new. I'm not a Cena fan by any means, btw.
Isn't that the point? Everytime Cena talks, the audience is silent, they have no reaction to it at all. The Rock just needs to come to the ring, he can stand their for 5 minutes and not say a word, and people have chanted 3 different things already.
Cena will never be the entertainer, or athlete The Rock is. What exactly did Cena add to it? All he said is the same thing he always says, "you left for hollywood shame on you for trying to become a global star, shame on you for living your dream" It's all bullshit, Cena can't touch what the Rock has accomplished not only in the world of wrestling, but in the world of entertainment. No matter what Cena says, the fact is, he is "The Man" in an era where the WWE has never been more irrelevant to the entertainment world. The numbers speak for themselves,

Wake Up Call
02-28-2012, 12:11 AM
So do you believe honestly that Vince or someone else in the backstage area is not telling the Rock to get whatever he can to trend?
I can say with 100% positivity that it is the case, and is exactly why he is doing it. It is a form of Marketing that otherwise could cost millions of dollars to produce.
In the end, all the marketing in the world will not save this business if we have a guy like John Cena leading the way as "The Man" it has been proven the last how many years.
This is why when Wrestlemania comes around, you see guys like The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, HHH, StoneCold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, ect ect ect.. Because without them, they would have to sell the show with John Cena, CM Punk, and whoever else is the top stars in this company now a days.
Fact is, Rock is there to sell tickets, and PPV buys, and by getting millions (AND MILLIONS ) of people to talk about him, Cena, Cena's lady parts, Cena's missing balls, Kung Pow Bitch, ect ect, on twitter, how exactly can that be a bad thing in way of exposure to the fact they are fighting at Mania?

B) did you see the rest of the card that had cena/punk? same could be said but dont let that get in the way of your lack of facts.
C) if cena was the problem guess mania is fucked...but of course by that logic cena/punk shouldnt have drawn...cause you know he was at the top of that card too...by your own logic punk > rock tho so i can go with that.

I am a lot more pumped for this Mania compared to last year though even if there is no MITB. Wasn't looking forward to HHH/Taker until they brought in the cell, then Punk/Jericho and Bryan/Sheamus. The only things actually announced so far that I couldn't care about are Rock/Cena and Big Show/Rhodes, but at least Cena bringing the heat is making for some interesting TV in the build-up.
Last year the only match I was really looking forward to was Cody/Rey with a slight but of Edge/Del Rio. But I was scared Del Rio would win and therefore get even more mic time.

02-28-2012, 09:17 AM
Last night was obviously designed for Cena to win. Probably right down to the promo notes on the wrist. Add in the fact that the Rock did not cut him off at any point during Cena's rant. It was structured to do this. Rock comes out all happy go lucky working the ground etc, Cena comes out says his little bit and leaves the rock pissed off in the ring which builds the intensity between the two.
The Rock is holding back, not sure if they'll ever really let him go for tilt though as he could bury Cena. And while Cena comes out all cocky etc this time around he again was repetitive about what he's been saying for a year now, and only really came out on top because Cena came out during Rock's time, said everything he needed to say to the Rock. Then the Rock had to wait until Cena was in the back to talk again.
If it was not designed to have Cena win this round the Rock would have cut him off right at the start to correct him saying he called him a kungpao bitch, and that he said he'd slap him with the chicken. Or at least would have stopped Cena going up the ramp and laced into him. Last night was given to Cena.

Bottom line, next week The Rock needs to do something other than come out and start witty chants with the WWE Universe and stop talking about Twitter. The match is with Cena, that's why Cena prevailed in the battle of words last night, he spoke on the topic at hand and shut down "The Great One".

I'm still going with the idea that Rock was caught off guard because Cena wasn't supposed to come out. I can see Cena noticing the notes and telling Vince he wanted to go out and lay into him a bit without Rock knowing in advance. Rock seemed genuinely taken back by it.
