So we have a lovable favorite, a man who can talk with the best of them who sacrificed his body for our enjoyment, who had one of the most memorable rises to the top of all time up against one of the most accomplished wrestlers of all time and worked dozens of styles while reinventing himself several times over along the way. lets see what happens.3 days.

From the 5 second poses to the TLCs to Live Sex celibration to some truely brilliant matches to cashing in the first money in the bank (ending that monster reign of cena's) to the very memorable worked shoot between hardy and himself to one of the most decorated title histories of all time and countless other scenerios Edge has crafted one of the best and most unsung careers of all time. Foley however got over from shock value and luckily for him he was charming enough to keep the audience after his body crapped out. but i see very little worthy of giving foley anything similar to the praise he gets. Edge wins this by the widest of margins.

Which one do I personally like best? I don't know. Will have to think about it.

My bad. Forgot to put my reasoning. Edge because he has a thicker head of hair.

Corporate CockSnogger

Actually that might not be fair. For a guy who tears his own hair out Foley isn't doing too badly. Might have to reconsider my reasoning.

Edge could have been this generations HBK, cept he was held back by injury and premature retirement. He had it all.

Unless he comes back from his "career ending injury" in a few years to wrestle again. Then he really WILL be this generation's HBK.

Very tough choice but overall i'd have to say Edge to me he was simply the more balanced talent of the two.

This is the one time.I'm going to choose promos and charecter over technical.ability. I choose Foley because he got me into wrestling with his book, I mean he got me bumping.

Edge is great but I personally give Foley this one because he deserves hall of fame just as much.

When I think about these two, I have to go with who provided me with more memorable moments, and I can pick out more for Foley than I can with Edge.

Emperor Smeat
02-29-2012, 01:04 AM
Tough choice since both are really worthy of being in the Hall but went with Foley by a slim margin.

Edge had a great career as a tag team wrestler and managed to have as good as one when he split off into singles. Overall he was better in terms of in-ring skills than Foley. Also felt his Rated R character meshed a lot better and created a legit rival to Cena's "Super Cena" character that failed to mesh multiple times with Orton.

Foley had the better ability in terms of promos and becoming popular in multiple promotions. While his in-rings skills lacked, he still manage to create a lot of memorable matches. Also felt his big moments as a wrestler easily equaled and surpassed Edge's big moments especially with the legendary 1st title win that WCW didn't think would cause a huge shift in viewers.

From the fuck you to fuck you and fuck you. Enjoy these sour grapes.

So we have a lovable favorite, a man who can talk with the best of them who sacrificed his body for our enjoyment, who had one of the most memorable rises to the top of all time up against one of the most accomplished wrestlers of all time and worked dozens of styles while reinventing himself several times over along the way. lets see what happens.

Which one's which?

Edge could have been this generations HBK, cept he was held back by injury and premature retirement. He had it all.

I don't see why that's a "but."

Though he was nowhere the performer Michaels was, nor even the talker.

I suppose this generation kinda sucks, though, so maybe Edge really is the best they can do.

Also, the Attitude Era didn't make Edga a "star," unless you count midcarding.

What I was getting at Mr. Knight, was that while Foley was good, he wouldn't have gotten over the same in WCW during the same time, or even in WWE during the New Generation. The fact he was in WWE during that era made him everything he deserved.

As for the Edge comment, that was when he started be pushed, and he eventually became a star.

Almost nobody would have made it if they weren't in the right place and the right company at the right time. That's why the point was so funny and stupid. As for Edge, it didn't make him a star, and his later push was fairly unrelated. After all, WWE tried to push him a couple times prior and he fell flat on his face. Edge is a one-note "star" who never got over on his own merits.

In essence, he was "lucky" to be where he was when he was, because he probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Vince's man-crush and insistence to push people whether we liked them or not.

Which again, is why calling Foley "lucky" is so fucking stupid.

Now go fuck yourself.

I voted for Foley because he was a staple of WWE for many years, made an impact in making extreme matches/crazy stunts on live television, and was a hilarious character as well as a scary character.

Edge was good, but he was nothing outstanding in history books like Foley.
