The Rock says he will compete at WM 29 if the WWE wants to generate more buzz than Rock vs Cena, is the only logical opponent now Rock vs Taker.
They've never faced each other at WM
The People's Champ vs The Streak
Granted this all depends on whether Take doesn't completely fall apart at WM28

dont really think rock vs taker will be option tbh

I definitely think they'd go with Rock vs Punk or even Rock vs The Miz before Rock vs Taker. Just doesn't seem all that logical.

Nah Taker is likely to retire after 20-0 and Rock would probably rather put over a newer guy like The Miz or CM Punk than losing to a guy that refuses to job.

Rock/Orton or Rock/Cena II

Rock vs. Punk, or Rock vs. Orton.
Don't really wanna see anymore streak matches after this years Wrestlemania. It's time for Undertaker to truly retire at 20-0 and give that Wrestlemania spotlight to someone else.

For Promo's - Rock vs Punk
For the match quality - Rock vs Punk
For epicness - Rock Austin IV

if austin wants 1 more match and can do 1 more match, plus from a major "draw" standpoint...rock v austin is the easy choice

i dont think rock and austin would draw anymore. i think it wuld be viewed as a throwback match more than a draw

Austin vs Punk
Cena vs Undertaker
The Rock vs The Miz
How would that not sell? I also think Rock/Miz would be good because they both can talk and it'd be classic face vs heel which would be refreshing after the worked shoot palooza Rocky would have been in facing Cena at Mania and Punk at SummerSlam. I'm with those who think they need to talk Rock into facing Punk at SummerSlam.

Cannot think of anything that would interest me less than Rock/Taker. If Taker keeps going past this year, I feel like getting a Taker/Cena match in is going to be a must. He's the last guy left that would make me be able to suspend my disbelief about the streak ending.

The rock vs the miz would skyrocket the miz farther than he has ever been give him a non clean win but still make him look good

Austin vs Punk
Cena vs Rock II
The Undertaker vs Sting
That'd be ideal, but at this point if Sting has never been in the WWE he never will. At best, he'll get inducted into the Hall of Fame one year. I've given up on that.

If Triple H were to do a retirement match, I hope it would be at WrestleMania against his greatest opponent:

I believe it would be the only match to happen at both Starrcade and WrestleMania.

I feel like the outcome of another Cena-Rock WrestleMania match would be relatively clear depending on how thie year's goes. I feel like one is enough. I'm banking on...
The Rock vs CM Punk (Maybe even have it be for the WWE Title?)
John Cena vs The Undertaker for the streak

Could they not tempt Sting to the WWE with the promise of a HOF slot the next year. Has that ever been done before? IMO he will get it eventually but this would make it a dead cert. Personally think it would be unreal to see Taker and Sting in full swing

Cena wins at WM, and he comes out on RAW the next night and brags about he beat the Rock, blah blah..GONG..Taker comes out and challenges him to a match at next years WM. They can pretty much follow the same Rock/Cena formula since Taker won't be around that much.
Stuff writes itself.

I think The Rock should face a heel at WrestleMania and really put them over as being legitimately worth investing time in. But maybe by teaming with a face he could also get them over as well as getting two heels over? I'd be happy to settle for Rock vs. Zack Ryder one-on-one, though.
#1-norm-fan
03-04-2012, 12:14 AM
I highly doubt Ryder is in a match with Rock next year.
Rock's only got so many matches and they've gotta be big. I don't think any heels are over enough to make it worth Rock's while and I can't see Rock just being used to put one of the guys so far below him over. Jericho might work but I doubt it. I really can't think of anyone but Punk that would really make sense.

Rock vs. Punk at SummerSlam.
Mr. Nerfect
03-04-2012, 12:22 AM
Truthfully, I think that Ryder could have a break-out year in 2012. If they do a King of the Ring later this year, then Ryder would make, in my opinion, the best babyface choice to win it. But I would also not be opposed to seeing Ryder turn heel and become an ambitious clawer looking to get to the top.

If Ryder turns heel, he's jobbing on Superstars within 2 months.
Mr. Nerfect
03-04-2012, 12:47 AM
I don't think so. I think it'd be a huge heel turn and would make him a more credible threat.
#1-norm-fan
03-04-2012, 01:00 AM
He was floundering in obscurity as a heel for years. He started doing Z: TLIS and he got a huge following and got a push from it. If he turns heel again, he would instantly be used as fodder. The man can't really act. His promos aren't that great but his dorky persona kinda helps him out. If he turns heel he becomes that pre-internet sensation Zack Ryder once the "heel turn shock" wears off.
A face underdog has a hard enough time staying over in WWE because of the temptation to just job them to the real stars. Turn that underdog heel and the chances cut drastically. You've got a guy Vince doesn't see as a star AND the crowd isn't really on the guys' side anymore to twist his arm. He becomes Curt Hawkins in no time.
Mr. Nerfect
03-04-2012, 01:10 AM
You'd turn him heel because there would be a plan to use him. You don't turn him heel to keep him in the same role, where he would lose steam so quickly.
#1-norm-fan
03-04-2012, 01:19 AM
Exactly. He wouldn't stay in the same role. And I'm sure they would plan to use him. In the end though, WWE even has a hard enough time keeping their main event heels that THEY groomed to be main eventers in a sustained push. You're talking about a guy that they were basically finally forced to give a push because the reaction he was getting twisted their arm. And even then, he got a very short US title run but no matter the reaction they have stalled on really putting in the effort to make him look like a legit star. Add to the fact that he's not that good on the mic and you're taking away the things that got him over despite that? I don't see how he wouldn't be jobbing almost instantly as a heel.

I'd kill to see Rock and Punk, because they would work so well off of each other. I'd also want to commit a hell of a lot less suicide if Rock gave the rub to Punk instead of Cena.
