Even though the Lightning beat the Flyers 4 times this year, 2 of those games saw Hackett and Burke in the game and Esche was taken out of one of those. Plus we didn't have Markov, Malakov, Zhamnov (not on the team) and Primeau and Roenick were injured.

Hero, I doubt there are major changes. Selanne and Kariya won't be back, I can guarentee you that, but neither did anything this year so no big loss. If there's a lockout next year, Peter will probably go to Sweden, but he'll come back to the NHL (and the Avs) eventually. The core (Sakic, Blake, Foote, Hedjuk, Tanguay, Aebischer) will stay the same. Plus, we have some nice young players like Svatos and Liles. We'll be back.

I think Forsberg is going and staying in Sweden no matter what. Avs still have a great young core no doubt. But look what they've accomplished in the last two years. Nothing. They need to make changes.
