First, the question needs to be asked. How would you feel if you were Charlie Haas? You're a very capable mat wrestler, an all-american from a fine university, and you are in the WWE. You also recently became a tag team champion. However, you're being kissed, "rode from behind," and groped by another man at least once or twice a week. You have also been forced to see him reveal his thong, and basically let him have his way with you in front of thousands of people. How would you feel? Would this bother you?

Also, regardless of whether or not you'd allow yourself to be in this situation, what do you think of this whole Haas/Rico thing? I know it's nothing new, and I think it's pretty fun, but I might not be very comfortable if I were Charlie Haas (though it didn't bother me seeing Charlie's tights pulled down).

It wouldn't be my first choice of angles, but on the bright side he knows he's likely going to end up with Ms Jackie every night, and as they say, life often imitates art, so I'd be down with that part of it.

In terms of the homoness of the thing, I wouldn't want Rico kissing me, but its just acting, and its pretty over right now, so why not go with it?

Well if I was Haas I'd be a little bit miffed cause I know that I could be a main event heel but I'd still be happy that I was getting pretty over

Haas was a great amateur wrestler, but this is "sports entertainment." On the other hand, I just hope this ends with Haas becoming more focused, determined, and driven than he already is. Eventually he'll go absolutley ape-s</>hit on Rico, and that'll be a good angle.

The angle is getting over, which means nothing but good for Haas' future. While Rico is going absolutely nowhere when this is through, Charlie will have built up a fan base to follow him into another gimmick.

He's on TV, good enough

I'm happy for him, but honestly you know he's thinking "Ok, I was broke up from one of the best tag teams in a while, sure I'm a tag team champion again, but Shelton beat TRIPLE FUC</>KIN H and I'm being groped by Rico.... :wft:"

Haas is not only a wrestler, he is an entertainer... Unfortunately, in this business, wrestling will rarely get you over on it's own. It could be MUCh worse for Haas.

I can't believe so many of you think this angle is so good. I never knew there are so many fags here! :D

Anyway, I personally don't like the angle, but this must be better than nothing as far as Haas is concerned. Although it's tragic that this is the best thing the writers could figure out to do with him considering how thin the Smackdown roster is. He should be feuding with RVD. Insted he's the "butt" of a never ending series of gay jokes. Niiiiice.

I was going to write a little article about this, but I'll just answer in short here. :y:

If I were Rico and/or Charlie Haas (), I'd be extremely happy right now. He's some reasons why:

-How many people can enjoy there job like Haas and Rico? Rico gets paid to jump around the ring like a fairy, while Haas just has to take sexual abuse from a fairy, while entertaining people beyond his wildest dreams. Haas & Rico are actually what I look forward to on on SD!. A lot of wrestlers would be fired or de-pushed for joking around in the ring, but Haas and Rico (and their opponents) can go wild. Whether or not it's a complimentary to their wrestling skills, I think any man or woman in the world would love to joke around in their job, no matter how good at it they are.

-Haas/Rico get to show off their acting skills. Watching Haas & Rico brings a smile to my face, I honestly don't know how Haas manages to look so plain during it all. The Bashams did a good job on SD!, too. Rico can smile, but he also has to entertain all those people. I think both are pretty good actors.

-Haas & Rico get to show their wrestling ability in a unique way. Angle, Benoit, Jericho, Storm, Venis, Hardy, Orton, Benjamin, Triple H etc. can all wrestle, but none quite has the freedom Rico and Haas do in the ring. If i had to have a gimmick in the WWE, I'd love to play a Goldust or Rico type character. I'm not gay or anything (shifty:), but you always get noticed, and whether or not you're a face or a heel, you will always be over (if you can pull the angle off).

The same thing that happen to many others with Golddust is happening with Haas and Rico. Booker was the straight man, Goldie was the odd one. But in the end, it helped them both out, not to the point that Goldie was main-event material but enough it got him on Raw. Anyways, Haas needs to show personality and this is how it will come out, by teaming with Rico. Not an award-winning angle, but it is funny.

Hey, you know, at the end of the day, it's a J-O-B and I am not talking about losing to Triple H either.

He's making good money, so he can't complain. It's not like he's doing gay porn or anything.

I agree, It already seems to be getting some personality over for Haas, I think it will do good things for him, but, we'll see.Funny as hell tho.

it's a good comedy angle that lets him show off how good he is in the ring. He should only be annoyed by this if Steve Blackman should have been annoyed by Head Cheese

If anything it should be able to increase his skills in promo's or on the mic.

It's abundantly clear that he can wrestle good enough for Smackdown or Raw, and if he can increase this part of his game, bring through some personality, and build a stronger fanbase, then this can only be good.

If he's pissed at the whole angle (assuming WWE don't turn him into a raging queen) then he should thank his lucky stars and look at guys like Sean O'Haire, Ultimo Dragon, and the rest of the guys on Vince's 'we didn't know what to do with him, and felt it fair to let him go' list.

i just hope WWe isn't going to botch this one like they have done with countless others.
The stuff they done with Golddust & Booker T was quality for a while, so I hope they learn some lessons from that.

Fingers crossed!

I'm glad Haas and Benjamin are getting a push, but TWGTT was split up too soon.

But, what do we call the team of Charlie Haas and Rico?

Bosom Buddies?

TWGTT? (The World's Gayest [as in happy, you sick bastard] Tag Team?)

Ride 'n Stretch?

Wardrobe Malfunctions?

Let's hope Charlie Haas doesn't turn into Billy Gunn. Remember what happened after Billy and Chuck? :nono:

It improves Haas's charisma, and doesn't really deteriorate his wrestling skill so it's not all bad.
