Brilliant. Pretend you give a shit this year guys. Raikonnen is back! Ross Brawn already has something potentially illegal on the car! Sky has two hot presenters! (and I'm not talking about that silver fox Damon Hill :naughty: )
Come on, humour me.

Unfortunately I won't share you enthusiasm because I haven't got Sky but I'm looking forward for the BBC coverage with the young version of Murray Walker commentating Ben Edwards......I hope Vettel won't win nearly every race like last season.

Really not enjoying seeing that McLaren pace, but at least Mercedes look a bit quick.
That smile on Grosjean's face isn't coming off all day. Awesome shit.
I do wish they'd do something about cars not coming out for Q3, would have laughed to see Riccardo get in front of the Red Bulls.

I was shocked with Grosjean ending up 3rd, nice stuff, Mercedes looks competitive, what the hell happened to Ferrari?
#BROKEN Hasney

Ferrari had some exhaust system at the first test where they weren't bad, but the system wasn't reliable at all so they've taken it off to tweak it. They'll be back up there I reckon, this won't be like Kimi's final season with them.

I'm leaving Sky soon :( - But for now I'm loving the channel and SkyGo for Android. Awesome stuff. Love it.
It's going to be tight for these fly away races, real season starts when Europe comes and the form book will get shaken up.
Cannot wait for the GP tmo.

Loving the Sky F1 channel myself. Going to cancel sports since you get it with the HD pack anyway as I only seem to watch Raw on it and the football down the pub instead.
Looking forward to catching some GP2 races as well since the F1 channel is showing them.

I'm such an addict I watched the BBC version too.
Only thing BBC now has as an advantage is Jake Humphrey, especially him diving in on Kimi. Everything else is better on Sky apart from Natalie Pinkman's interviewing style.
did you just say something nice about Jake Humphrey?
#BROKEN Hasney
03-17-2012, 09:52 PM
Dunno, like Jake as a presenter. Better than the souless ginger bloke Sky seem to have.

03-17-2012, 09:55 PM
Kind of hate my sleeping pattern during the long haul races. Was in bed by about 6ish last night and now wide awake at 2am.
fucking irrationally hate Jake Humphrey, no idea what he's like with the F1 stuff tbf
#BROKEN Hasney
03-17-2012, 10:03 PM
When he covers MOTD/fiddles kids on set/Olympics he comes across as a prick and I have no idea why he's more "natural" on F1 or something.

Can't actually trust ex-kids TV presenters that aren't Andi Peters or Phillip Schofield.
Fuck that Sky presenter and his whole family too. I dont mind BBC as much, but have always preferred Star Sports/ESPN while in India for 1 very good reason:

Glad Vettel didn't win, happy with Button winning, will watch the highlights later on. Jake Humphrey is alright as a presenterand his bromance with Coulthard, can't stand Eddie Jordan though(when I was a at Jordan we did this/that) but he's a legend. Rather Lee McKenzie than the women on Sky.
Good race that, loved the last lap.

nice finish, wish Perez won it, he gave Alonso a hell of a fight.
If it was a Toro Rosso gaining on a Red Bull, would Red Bull be able to <s>bully</s> team order the shit outta that maneuver?
#BROKEN Hasney
03-26-2012, 09:50 AM
Probably.
Sky F1 have been showing the review of the year 2011 and at one of the races, Jaime Alguersuari blocked Vettel slightly when both of them were on a flying qualifying lap and it showed footage of Helmut Marko having a go at Jamie for it. Heaven forbid he sets the fastest time he can.
Speaking of Toro Rosso though, mad props to Jean Eric Vergne for staying out on inters when the rain was that bad before the red flag.
Keep seeing comments online about how disrespecting Vettel was when talking about Nico Rosberg. What did Vettel do?
Also, just noticed that post on the last page. kimi

Depends on tire wear.
Yeah, McLaren were talking like it could be a 4 stop race for some teams. Slightly biased, but still going with Rosberg just because of how well those tyres were on the car last race.

The interviews with McLaren after the session were hilarious.
"We have no idea what the technical fault is". Hiding the truth.
Maldonado holding his own in the race, but I am still counting on a Spanish win here.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-13-2012, 08:43 AM
Just as I read that, Maldanado gets the undercut and leads Alonso
Yes I see that, Shaun Hasney
lol at Schumi putting all the blame on Senna though. TOTALLY UNLIKE HIM!
"Getting KK'ed" now means something in the real world which has nothing to do with Kane Knight.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-13-2012, 09:06 AM
Slow Maldanado stop though. Hopefully the undercut will see him through again.
A botched Williams pit stop reduces the gap in half
"Major nose jobs for the Red Bulls" is now my favourite quote from the race.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-13-2012, 09:10 AM
Jesus, this is going to be like Perez. Maldanado needs to make those tyres last.
Kimi gets to decide who wins the race.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-13-2012, 09:18 AM
If Lotus are right, Kimi will win. They reckon Ferrari and Williams will both have to stop again.
That was an old message though. I doubt they will stop.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-13-2012, 09:41 AM
Alonso's tyres are dead, but probably not enough time for Kimi to catch him. Looking awesome for Maldanado with a lap to go

Sky Sports F1 has Monaco GP's from random years all day today. It's going to be a great day.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-26-2012, 12:33 AM
I get far too giddy for MONACO BABY YEAH every year. The race can sometimes be dull, but qualifying is sexy as hell.
Looking like it may rain today and tomorrow according to the F1 website though. That should make things even tastier.
Rain on a street circuit = super slow and boring racing
I was not expecting a red flag this early.
Lotus not retaining its pace from free practice. The poor team just can't seem to win.
Holy shit.. Both Lotus somehow went into Q3. Massa of all people on provisional P1

Isn't Monaco the race where your qualifying position is basically where you'll finish during the race since it's impossible to pass?
Yes, I dabble in F1.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-26-2012, 02:20 PM

Ted Kravitz is reporting that the other teams believe Red Bull have a hole in their floor between the rear tyres which would be illegal. There may be a protest at the end of the race, but Red Bull could change it but would mean starting from the pits.
Well nothing happened from that so far.
Poor Grosjean, but I knew Schumi at Monaco would do something dastardly as usual
#BROKEN Hasney
05-27-2012, 08:13 AM
I know. What a bastard, driving in a straight line millimetres away from the barrier. Off with his head!
Err.. Wasn't me insinuating that. I am watching the BBC stream and the commentators took great delight reminding everyone what Schumi has done at Monaco to "hamper" other drivers. I actually take great delight in what Schumi did in 2006 though :D
"The final qualifying session was overshadowed by Michael Schumacher's actions in the dying moments of the session as his rival, Fernando Alonso, was on a flying lap and was, at sector two, over two tenths of a second faster than the German. However, Schumacher stopped his car in the Rascasse corner, which compromised Alonso's lap. When asked about the incident, Schumacher responded by saying that he "locked up the front and went wide."
#BROKEN Hasney
05-27-2012, 08:22 AM
Ahh right, got Sky on so didn't know.
2006 was brilliant. When you watch the video, his "lock-up and going wide" is just crawling towards the barrier to park and then hops out. It's fantastic.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-27-2012, 08:26 AM

Ahahahaha amazing.

Top 6 within 6 seconds and no chance to overtake. This is why street circuits should not be in F1. I can understand Monaco with all the history and the fuss around it but take off Valencia and modify Singapore please.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-27-2012, 09:53 AM
Valencia is shit. I love Singapore for some reason though, but a few changes wouldn't go amiss.
Probably a 4th street circuit next season too with New Jersey.
Ya I heard. I think that will depend on how well Austin is received this year (if at all). Less than 3 hours drive for me so I am a bit biased for it to work out.
#BROKEN Hasney
05-27-2012, 09:59 AM
Austin won't be too well recieved I don't think. No US teams or drivers so the US won't care.
Give it a few years and it may be embedded in anyway.

Great deal for McLaren. Since Lewis got into F1 he's got progressively more detached. The splitting with his dad as management and then the "will I stay or not" bollocks. Perez will do well with their machinery... well, if it's good consistently.
