Android space problems...

It seems that my phone has an absolute shit amount of internal memory. It's a Motorola Flipside I believe.

I have opera, youtube, maps, facebook and twitter on my phone,not even flash, and tend to only have 10mb of internal space left at all times. Even after moving what I can to the SD and clearing cache, i can't install anything else because I get an Insufficient Space warning. Most apps I can't even update without uninstalling it first.

I'm rooted and have used Titan to uninstall a bunch of useless shit including uninstalling enough of Motoblur to disable it. I had this problem before rooting so I know it's not something I did.

So, what can I do about this? It severely limits the apps I can have on my phone. I know there are root apps that allow you to move everything in an app to an SD card (since I know the executable has to be on the internal memory), but I read you need a faster card and I don't think my current one is fast enough.

I'm using Android 2.2 by the way. It's upgraded from stock.

Bar getting rid of even more, there's nothing you can do without data2sd really. I didn't mind data2sd, even on a slow card. Some start-up lag but whatever, the foibles of using a cheap Android phone.

Apps2SD wasn't working but I tried Link2SD and it works pretty much perfectly. :y:

Pictures and Text Messages also eat up space man if you have a lot saved.

Yeah, but it's not really that. I probably keep like 600 texts on my phone at all times, and very few mms messages. Everything else is on my SD card.

Went from having less than 15 at all times to over 30MB of internal storage, and have already installed a shitload of new apps. And I don't really see any difference in startup in the apps I moved, so :y:.

I have this problem with mine at times as well. Kind of annoying as there are plenty more apps I want that I dont have room for at all. I find if I delete pics, even one or two it takes that notification away.
