I HAVE TO RANT!!!!

DAMN! That promo was INTENSE! It gave me GOOSEBUMPS! Wrestling has not given me goosebumps in a very long time! I also just realized I have not heard The Undertaker speak live since like 2003! It's been way too long!

The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H are legends, veterans and true professionals. All three sounded so fucking natural on the mic, and their facial expressions were epic. That promo right there is why I am a huge mark for old-school wrestling. I grew up on those men. Those men were doing this type of stuff when John Cena, Randy Orton, and The Miz were still kids.

It makes me miss wrestling. :( I wish I could see wrestling like that all the time. It's no wonder why I loved wrestling so much growing up because that promo, and The Rock's promo last week was what it was all about back when I was growing up watching wrestling. That feeling of being entertained was with me with almost every match and interview growing up. At least that is how I saw it. I again question if I did the right thing by retiring as a wrestling fan in 2003. But maybe I did, because like tonight for example, I find myself not enjoying Raw for the most part with the exception of the final interview for the night.

Besides the fact that I like older wrestlers because they are so great on the mic, I also see them as gods. I see guys like The Miz as my peers, and I just can't be entertained by them the same way The Undertaker does. It's like in order for me to enjoy wrestling, truly enjoy wrestling is for the men to look like they are old enough to be my Dad. I view them with more respect and admire them more whereas when I see Randy Orton, I just wanna say "Hey, what's up dude?" Like he could be my friend or something. I see him as my equal, but see The Undertaker as a legend that I'd call "Sir" and be very quiet around. It's hard to explain. Hopefully someone understands what I mean.


This is going to be so sad when the feud is over. I just wish I would have caught part of the promo earlier since I missed the first few minutes. I caught it just as Triple H came out, but there's always WWE.com and a repeat airing I may be able to see Saturday night so I can still see the full promo.

The Undertaker, Triple H, and HBK all looked great. Some of my other favorites from back in the day look pretty bad now. :( But those three still looked wonderful and sounded wonderful, and it's a shame they are apart of a dying breed and cannot wrestle forever. :(

I was told that the production team didn't realize something was going on in the crowd and just based on the way they were shooting the show, the full effect of Douglas unmasking was lost on the TV audience. The production team wasn't even shooting around Douglas. They just happened to shoot it the way that it came across on TV. Douglas was pretty much a non-concern.
After Douglas unmasked and tried to start a chant for "ECW" as he walked through the building, security detained him as he exited the Arena into the concourse. As that happened, the others he was with (Extreme Reunion promoter Steve O'Neill was one) exited the facility. Security, believing Douglas had somehow snuck in, asked to see his ticket. When he produced it, they had no choice but to let him exit.

Douglas flew home to Pittsburgh last night immediately after pulling the stunt as a way to promote Extreme Reunion.
