iPod Help

I'm having a problem with my iPod Shuffle...it's an older one...like 4-5 years old. I plugged it into my computer and it doesn't recognize my iPod and I want to charge it...and Apple wants to charge me for tech support :mad: Any ideas?

Is iTunes installed? If not, install it. If it is, reinstall it. It has all the drivers.

I just tried uninstalling and re installing iTunes and it still doesn't work :(
