Giants playing "really shitty"

Why is the non-Wild card team series doing 2 for the lower seed and then 3 for home team? It should be 2-2-1 like it always is.
Just changed it this year. But yeah, it should.
lol Giants have no hits. Feels like 2009

Arod got one strike to hit in his last at bat, and it was a check swing foul. Had he justhung right and took until he got a strike, he would have walked on four pitches with Cano coming to the plate.

Cano needs to bat third. Hes by and far their best hitter. They need someone else in the layoff hole as amok. Can't help but think Jeters being wasted by not having a decent speedster who gets on base infront of him. But I don't who that would be.

Even though the Rangers choked it away this season, Ron Washington's job is safe.
It's still a mystery on what's going on in Miami. According to reports, top Marlins executives want Ozzie Guillen out as manager. The final say rests with Jeff Loria.
Red Sox manager search is about to get underway. They're gonna start by asking the Blue Jays for permission to speak with John Farrell. After that, who knows. Not many names being thrown out.

Does he:
A: Listen to the fans and give him a bottom of the order wake-up call?
or
B: Listen to Mike Francesa and bat him at 3rd because Mike worships statistics and thinks his opinion is the only one that matters and the callers and go fuck themselves?

Nats probably realize it was a mistake to shut down Strasburg instead of giving him more rest days considering only Gio has pitched well against the Cards. Although nobody has gone past 5 innings so far in this series.
Meanwhile Chris Carpenter is his usual self in the playoffs even though he's only pitched a few starts this year.

NEW YORK—Following Raul Ibanez’s walk-off home run in Game 3 of the American League Division Series last night, slumping Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez—who was replaced by Ibanez in the bottom of the ninth inning—reportedly congratulated his teammate and wished him an untimely death. “I don’t think there was anyone in the ballpark more excited for Raul than me, and I’d like him to die slowly in some extremely painful way, preferably while his entire family watches,” a smiling Rodriguez said during a postgame press conference, adding that he is proud to be Ibanez’s teammate and that he’d really like him to die in the next 24 hours. “Maybe something where he is strangled to death or stabbed repeatedly in the chest and stomach and face. I think it would also be nice if he was forced to walk out onto a frozen pond at gunpoint, and then he just fell through the cracked ice and drowned. Something like that. I’m so happy for Raul.” At press time, Raul Ibanez had not been seen by anyone in the past 12 hours.

Like mad nervous for tonight. Verlander is so clutch, especially in games like these.
but these are usually the games he allows at least a run or two. Was telling friends last night that if Grande blew it (FUCK FAT ASS), that Verlander was going to have to throw a complete game shutout because I believed the Tigers are only scoring 1-2 runs

And nothing hurt for Hughs. Saunders isn't exactly a staff ace. He threw the game of his life last Friday. Don't think lightening is striking twice tonight.

Everyone can talk about A-Rod struggling, but Granderson looks like he's a 6 year old who just moved up from teeball.

Verlander's going tonight. Suzie Waldman said on the radio as I was coming home that Leyland might leave him in there until his arm falls off. And by that, I mean 130-140 pitches.
Tigers bullpen that bad? I thought Al New Mexico was the goods?
Damian Rey
10-11-2012, 08:28 PM
Leylands facing elimination. Id make the same decision. Best pitcher on the team. Almost a slam dunk hes going to atleast hold the A's bay until the bullpen absolutely has to be called upon. Parker wasn't terrible in game 1. A's worked the count against Verlander well to start, then started pressing the the punchouts piled up. Hopefully the A's can hang in there. Love to see them get back to the ALCS.

Yeah makes sense to use up your ace as much as possible although the bullpen has been pretty reliable this series besides Valverde's meltdown last game. He went 121 pitches last time so doing 120+ again shouldn't be a problem as long as he pitches like he did in Game 1.
Doubt Leyland's job is on the line but he's been on a figurative hot seat ever since the owner started to splurge on spending only to see disappointments every time.

It's not like the Tigers have an elite roster. Their starting pitching after Verlander is ok, and other than Cabrera and Fielder, their offense is meh. Their infield defense sucks. The only reason they have made the playoffs the last few years is because they play in the sack of shit AL Central. And even then, they limped Into the postseason. Had they been in either of the other divisions, they would be sitting at home.
