Get your runs with Terra in, because the new patch will nerf the Bee and up Terra's health. People on PC are saying they are having problems soloing him now.

I can take down Hyperius before he spawns his 4 bitches, and you can too. You'll need a Baby Maker with a Tediore relic. But of course, they are fixing that with the patch, too.

lulz @ not possible. I remember the last mission in Halo: Combat Evolved was supposed to be impossible to solo on Legendary too.

It is easily possible. The spike tentacles cannot hit you behind the rocks, nor can the lasers unless they spawn adjacent to the rock, in that case, blast it once and it is down. The ONLY time movement is needed is during the boulder tentacles OR if Terra pops up to the left. If that is the case, dance around the boulders AND step in the lip of the door (respectively) and you won't be touched, it's stupid easy.

I spent all day Saturday farming legendaries for alt characters.

I am honestly glad they are nerfing the exploits. I enjoy having the oranges all to myself, but group play can be fun too.

And lolwut? Story wise or content wise? You have to clear the main story to even unlock Hyperius. Beat Hyperius and then unlock Gee. Get some shards only to find out the new guns aren't up to par on the Legendaries you (should) have by that point.

I beat the campaign and raid boss in about 6 hours. It was hella short, but that is without doing any side missions. The raid boss isn't really challenging at all, just takes some time to take down.

he will do an area wide corrosive attack and you have to turn some valves to wash it off in some sewer water. When you do that, it will release spiderants or lab rats (the human kind). Sadly, they do more damage than Pyro Pete does and are what makes the bossfight a challenge. His AOE dmg is based on how low his health is, as well as the number of adds that come from the sewer pipes.

Still though, 2x sirens, chronomancer and commando took him down pretty easily without dying.

the dialogue is fucking hilarious though. I am hoping there are some great rewards and side missions, those are always fun.

The Torgue vending machines are pretty sweet too! Now, if they can incorporate a Team Deathmatch style pvp in the arena they have built....

Started Mr. Torgue with my buddy last night. I like the fact that you can get the legendary guns from the machines in this. Just need to spend a little time with the slot machine and you can get them in no time.

OOOOORRRR!!!!

You can do the level 3 bar brawl over and over. You get 20 Torgue Tokens for completion, and 5-6 for killing the Super Badasses in the bar. Level 3 time limit is capped @ 2:30 so you can amass Torgue currency pretty quick. The best legendary I have caught in the machine so far is a grenade that does 50k dmg, spawns 7 children and doubles the explosions, pretty effing sweet.

Goddamit. Fucking main story mission (360) glitched on me. I was in the beginning phases of Wildlife Preservation, where you need to wound (but NOT kill) 3 loaders at once so as to get the engineers to come running out and open the door to the military base which leads to the preserve. But I got downed shortly after completion of wounding 3 loaders and the engineers running out...every enemy was too far away for me to shoot or rpg and I ended up dying and re-spawning, no big deal, I thought. So I go back to the same area with the 3/3 checked off, and just to be sure I do it again, but no engineers come out, the doors don’t fucking open, NOTHING.http://www.tpww.net/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif

Not anymore. Console patch is live now. Bee amp damage is multiplied across the entire spread now, instead of being applied to each individual pellet.

Found a pretty easy workaround. Just took a 2nd XBox controller, hooked it up, started a "Guest" profile, and since my Salvador was lvl. 33 at the time (lvl. 35 now), I just would have the 1st controller serve as the "Guest" profile character while my 2nd controlled my profile character. Playing as my gunzerker who was way ahead as far as levels, I would just leave the "Guest" character behind as I quickly completed one main quest after the next without bothering to do side quests, which has resulted in one hell of a backlog of stuff for me to do just in normal mode, but long story short, I got back to Wildlife Preservation and this time I didn’t die, wounded 3 loaders and raced into the preserve the minute one of the engineers came out. Finished the rest of the quest pretty quick, then shut off the controller I no longer needed and finished the rest of the main quest in ~ 1 hr. :)

And that’s not all, either...during The Once and Future Slab quest, I turned a Goliath into a Raging Goliath and backed off while he went from Raging -> Badass -> Super Badass Monster Goliath (or something like that, lol) -> Ultimate Super Badass Towering Goliath (or some shit) -> GODliath, and once he was a GODliath, as a lvl. 33, I took him down pretty quick, because he only leveled from 20-24, for a pretty easy “David, Meet Goliath” achievement. LMAO’d @ the icon for the achievement too.

OK, so I didn’t pre-order the Premiere Club with the game when I pre-ordered, just the game itself...recently downloaded the Mechromancer Pack, but all I see listed in my memory section for the game, in addition to the 2 DLC campaigns already released, there is something that just says “Premiere Club”, and I do not see the option to play as Gaige if I start a new game...any suggestions? :-\:(:wavesad:

Is it assigned to another console, by chance?

It should work the same as any other DLC. it should be assigned to your profile and not the physical machine itself. If anything, when you get to your bro's house, load your profile and go to the add-ons section through the "games" tab and find the mechro add-on. If it has registered that you have paid for it, it should come up "download again". I would try dl'ing again, if given the option, and start up the game to check your results.

If you build up DeathTrap, he provides a great distraction. If you get that matching shield skill, a nice melee or spike shield does wonders. The Anarchy is a little iffy. It's premium with a Hyperion auto-fire weapon, but only best to have it with the opposite skill. Like fortify or something. However, there is a big noise glitch that can occur with DeathTrap so be aware. Other than that it's a pretty fun playthrough. The cooldown rate is pretty long, but DeathTrap can be out for several minutes. Have fun with it

Gunzerker has proven to be the most fun class for me :D

Gunlust tree FTW. The last skill in that tree acts like a Bee shield with the right weapons. Constantly hitting for over 150k with regular shots, no Bee :D

I just couldn't have fun with Salvador. I feel a little more traditional when it comes to skill trees (eg: +health,+damage,+shield) and to find that most of his starting skills had no effect to any of the e's g'd, the pace was a lot slower with him. I did appreciate the way they handled dual-wielding and the ammo reload(save rockets) but it was just a character that I wanted to get my 90 seconds of gunzerking time and move on to the next character.

2nd, the level cap will get bumped up to 61. Also, a new game mode called Ultimate Vault Hunter will go along with it. Only level 50 and higher will get you access. This comes out next week on April 2nd, and will set you back 400 MSP or free if you got the season pass.

Finally a bit of info on the 4th expansion pack. It drops sometime in June and it's rumored to be centered on Tiny Tina somehow. Also, it's rumored to be the biggest piece of DLC for the game thus far.

Yeah, Scooter, Lilith, Tannis, Claptrap and a couple others all made the transition from the equally stellar first game and do a great job making the main narrative seem important.

As far as 2's vault hunters go, I've probably had the most fun playing as Maya, then Salvador, followed by Axton, Gaige next, then Krieg. Salvador was the one I ultimately ended up being able to get the achievement for completing all quests in any mode, so that was good times...a lot of hilarious side quests, too, including a VERY short one in Sawtooth Cauldron which I won't spoil here that made me laugh a lot more than I at first thought it would.

Salvador is the way to go if you do their Legendary Badass mode. Slag cannon in one hand and wtf ever you want in the other.

Salvador sounded fun to play but I ultimately went with Gaige when I started out because I anticipated soloing my entire time playing, so I figured I'd be kind of like a WoW hunter with Deathtrap tanking for me for tough encounters etc.

I play her more as a balls-out shotgun-toting kamikaze suicider which is way more fun, but hitting LT in a pinch to ensure Deathtrap gets me some Second Winds is a nice perk :D

I never bought the Gaige DLC, unfortunately. I played Maya first, as I enjoy being an elemental beast. I managed to level the shit outta Salvador and found his dual wield was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fucking OP compared to the rest of the classes.

I would wipe Pyro Pete (raid boss) solo with ease with Salvador. If you "do it right" you can have dual wield up ALMOST indefinitely. Think there is actually an achievement for it to go 5 minutes straight or some shit.

This is kinda making me wanna pick up the Handsome Collection. All games and DLC, plus the pre-sequel set on the moon where you play as the bad guys.

I could have gotten a PS4, but there are tons of games on PS3 i havent played and i wanted to play. And i like physical copies. Hate digital. And PS4 is not backwards compatible which annoys me so much. I'll eventually grab a PS4 especially after seeing Death Stranding.

Ignoring the biased consumer:

It will be very interesting to see the sales of this game. It doesnt appear like its going to be a strong IP going forward. 7 years is a big layoff so maybe thats all it is.

They had a ton of bugs involving one of the 4 playable characters which apparently didn't help matters, as it was actually slated to release last year.

I honestly and completely from a neutral viewpoint expect it to get rave reviews, sell like hotcakes and be near the top in the conversation for GotY. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that I will be consumed by this game come autumn.

Just wanted to throw out there for RP that the BL1 remaster is also really good on PS4 too. Also, inexpensive.

Unfortunately if you don't dig The Pre-Sequel, your only option on PS4 is The Handsome Collection, which has both BL2 and TPS and ALL of the DLC in a single bundle. It's a shame you seemingly aren't in a position to get a PS4 before the start of July, as starting June 4, it's actually one of the free June 2019 PS+ titles.

Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC is now here!

To download on PS4, first you must exit the game if you're playing it and press Options on the DS4 -> Check for update -> Go to [Downloads] and let the 618.7MB (or whatever size) patch install, then go to PS Store -> What's Hot -> New Add-Ons and you'll see the DLC logo. Click it, press download, wait for it to do so and install, start BL2 from within Handsome Collection. You'll notice they actually organized the fast travel by Vanilla Game and DLC locations finally LOL, only took almost 7 years. Anyway, there's a new location called Fight for Sanctuary. Fast-travel there to start playing. 😊

So, it appears that the Effervescent rarity is indeed exclusive to the new Commander Lilith DLC. It's been said that farming Uranus (no, that's not a signature bad "DAMN!" man joke) is a great way to obtain bunches of them. Or if you're the world's most masochistic glutton for punishment in the history of ever, after the main DLC story you can try to solo kill a new raid boss called Haderax the Invincible. He too is said to have quite a few of them in his loot pool.

Do note that Haderax is even more of a son of a bitch than Dexiduous in the Big Game Hunt DLC. He starts with a large crit spot on the back of his head but he moves around insanely fast and will often disappear and regenerate health. His attacks are quite damaging and can easily down you, so bring a Bee and a Conference Call as well as something to slag him, and you should eventually be able to take him down. I had the good fortune not to re-spawn once during the fight and got him to actually sit still close to me long enough to finally deal the killing blow. Unfortunately my first kill didn't yield an Effervescent but I shall keep trying. Also, off-topic, Effervescent gear on the ground is much easier to distinguish from other gear as it has a rainbow gradient beam that I guarantee you'll ooh and aah over for a hot minute when you get your first one. In your inventory, they (the Effervescents) actually cycle, appropriately enough, in a rainbow of colors on the title of the gear (i.e., the Mouthwash).

Is it worth farming at low levels? I'm level 6 and i'm at Boom Bewm and i looked them up and saw there is a nice legendary grenade mod. Should i even bother? Or just move on. I'm not sure what level i should try to farm bosses for better loots.

You do have the option with the new DLC update installed, to create a character of any class that is immediately lv. 30, if you think that would appeal to you.

When i played earlier, I did a online match search and found 4 people around my level 6. I'm hoping as i get up in levels, there are a few people still playing on PS3 a lot. But also hoping i can just solo all raid bosses.

Just got level 10. Loving this game so much. I still dont get how the modes system works exactly, but it's all good. I've gotten two Legendary's so far. I got a Rythmic KerBlaster before i killed Captain Flint ( that fight cost me like $600 before i figured out i didnt have to stand in fire ). And i just killed Assassin Oney and he dropped a Bladed Emperor.

On PS3/360, the level cap is 72, and IIRC includes the original version of Digistruct Peak (the one with 8 courses). Normal Mode caps out at around lv. 30 enemy wise, True Vault Hunter Mode around lv. 50, and UVHM with no overpower levels around lv. 72. Oh, and you unlock TVHM by completing the final story mission of the main game on Normal Mode and UVHM by doing the same on UVHM.

Once you hit lv. 72, you can run Digistruct Peak and each time you run through it successfully on your current OP level, you gain an OP level, so if you set your game to OP7 and that's your highest OP level, running the peak and successfully completing it on OP7 would unlock OP8. Since PS3/360 didn't receive the new DLC, I assume OP8 is as high as you can OP - there's no OP9 or OP10.

You can keep whatever weapons and gear, but as time goes on and you find better stuff, it goes without saying you'll eventually be selling your old crap in favor of the better stuff although some stuff, like an Unkempt Harold will last you way longer than other stuff.

The game doesn't track everything you've ever obtained, at least in name/rarity/level, etc. It tracks challenges based on how many white (common) - legendary (orange) items you pick up but only to a very limited degree. Your inventory in your backpack does automatically sort your stuff by rarity.

So it turns out that even if only for troll-y purposes, the new Effervescent rarity grenade mod Antifection is worth seeking out. It's not intentionally troll-y like the Midnight Star from the Captain Scarlett DLC, but you can damage and kill friendly NPCs with it and it can even be done to people in a session with your friends
without even starting a duel. Something tells me this might get patched, harmless as it is (if you kill a friendly NPC that has a quest start and/or turn in, you can just save/quit and reload and they'll be back), but I hope not as it just doesn't get old IMHO.

Finally got the pain in the ass "Collateral Damage" trophy to unlock in The Pre-Sequel and got the platinum. Finally have the plat on all the BL games including Tales.
