View Full Version : Anybody still watching Impact?

I caught some of Impact last night and from what I saw it seemed like a solid show.
Angle and Hardy started off with a very solid match
MCMG returned
Aries seems to be well on his way to turning face
Predictable "What a twist" in the Bischoff feud
Kennedy and Roode was :-\ (and of course for no reason Anderson beat the champ)

Too much Hogan, the Bischoff angle shouldn't be the focus of the show, and Roode/Storm is going to be one hell of a match.

I can't believe TNA is still around...

You say it was a solid show though? What is going on in TNA right now, who has the belts, whats a major storyline, etc?

Haven't really kept up with TNA since the Wrestlemania build began around the time of the Elimination PPV. Is Hogan and Bischoff still the focus of the show?

I watched Sabin and skipped the rest. Could be convinced to watch a bit more of the show if he grows his hair back.

Sabin looks a lot smaller......Hogan/Bischoff/Flair get too much cameratime for my liking.....

Sabin actually looks like he hasn't been to the gym in a year. I bet he spent most of his recovery time working shifts in Subway to cover his rent.

Also, I think it is pathetic that TNA is so fucking unoriginal that they can't come up with another name for their authority figure besides "general manager".

Yes, I watch Impact every week honestly. I like the product. I really like the pushes of James Storm and Bobby Roode and always have been a fan of the Knockouts division, especially since the end of 2010. There's alot of good matches in my opinion as well. James Storm vs. AJ Styles from Impact this week was really good and it was my favorite match of the week by far. I also am liking what's going on with Austin Aries being a major star and TNA taking advantage of how over he is. I am enjoying alot of things going on in the company. I know its a minority opinion, but I enjoy TNA.

Barely watch it on tv and keep a small track of what is going on but how did Hogan end up as the GM of TNA/Impact?

James Steele
04-07-2012, 07:43 PM
Sting and Dixie trust him now because he has trained Garrett Bischoff who is feuding with evil boss extraordinaire Eric Bischoff. Sting's psychiatrist also recommends that Sting stay away from TNA for awhile.

James Steele

Garrett Bischoff must have a dick down to his knees and making Dixie feel like she is at SeaWorld in the sack to get this kind of push.

So Sting basically gave up his authority role for no real reason back to the same guy who only months ago was involved with Immortal and their plan to destroy/rule TNA.

I can't wait for Hogan to turn on Garrett and then we get Garrett vs Hogan at Bound For Glory.

Sting's character at the moment is fucking weird. And not awesome weird like Goldust. Awkward weird like... ... ... I don't even know what to compare him to.

It has gotten better, but that isn't saying much. Bischoff, Hogan, and Flair need to go. I'm not interested in the slightest in anything they have to say and I find myself changing the channel when they are cutting their promos.

But, I guess they feel that the younger guys aren't over enough to carry the show yet? Can't get over if you don't push 'em Dixie Normous.

I MIGHT start watching after Hogan & Bischoff are gone. I used to think that TNA was a place for WWE rejects(that still had "it) and cruiserweights(X-Division), but now I know that it's a place were the old-timers go when they want to stay in the spotlight but have no actual talent.

... until they inexplicably take him off TV for weeks at a time. TNA has a track record with this. Did it with the 'Guns. Did it with Jay Lethal. And Pope. And Little Petey Pump, etc., etc.

...hell, they even did it to AUSTIN ARIES BEFORE!

Haven't watched for a few weeks. Ever since the show after Victory Road. I was liking TNA just fine until the PPV, which just bummed me out, and then the show afterwards which pretty much killed any renewed interest I had had.

I never got the love for MCMG. They are just some floppy floppy tag team with some charisma. Their matches do nothing for me as I'd rather just watch gymnastics.

I'm suprised we haven't seen Reid Flair yet (knock on wood)

Reid Flair got arrested for heroin possession or something a few years ago, so I don't know if he is still going into wrestling or not. He was at the Hall of Fame ceremony. He has a good look, but reminds me too much of Cody Rhodes.

That bad? I figured with his amateur background and seeing his brother be so horrible he might have been a decent wrestler. Hard to work on your craft if you keep getting arrested though.

I agree, theres nothing necessarily wrong with him but like Garrett Bischoff theres nothing that really sets him apart from most other indy wrestlers (besides their last name)
