Raw/Smackdown Prediction Game: Round 1

[Swiss Ultimate]

I'd like to play a game if you're up for it. Here are the ground rules.

Each prediction must be based upon happenings from the previous week's WWE Television or semi-credible internet rumors.

1) Brock F5'd Cena last week. This week Cena's going to snap and cripple Daniel Bryan (becoming the ultimate no-nonsense badass submission machine)

2) Ryan Clark reports that Billy Gunn was recently rehired by the WWE. This week he's going to debut as an unstoppable monster with Teddy Long as his manager.

So basically it's a "where do they go with this" thread with a point system.

5 points for getting it completely right (ie. Brock's going to debut and F5 Cena would have been worth 5 points)

3 points for partial (ie. Brock's going to debut at Raw after Wrestlemania)

1 point for predictions that come true but with other wrestlers (Think A-Train's going to debut and attack Cena on Raw)

No sign-up, each thread will be it's own contest. At the end of the year the person with the most wins will get a thread devoted to their genius by me.

*Ties will be counted as wins for all involved. In case of ties at the end of the "season" we'll hash it out in the chat-room via obscure wrestling trivia games.

You didn't read the examples:

5 points for getting it completely right (ie. Brock's going to debut and F5 Cena would have been worth 5 points)

If correct the Roddy prediction will be 5. Zack will be 3. Your inner-death will not count for points.

Unsure. I think we shouldn't limit the #. That said, if you predict "Rock will wrestle and lose to Yoshi" you can't then predict that "Rock will wrestle and win against Yoshi."

You could do more/different categories, but those were the first things that popped into my head.

Hopefully not. I think that we have a system that can evolve as needed though.

Vague predictions might be "safe", but this game is primarily about predicting the future of the WWE. Getting something like Lesnar hitting the F5 on Cena is going to be the exception rather than the rule, but people guessing things like Lesnar debuts on Raw are often wrong in the first place. Things people think of as safe bets might earn them 1 or even 0 points.

Let's say you go for the big prediction: Cena snaps and starts on a rampage hitting AAs on everybody he sees throughout the episode.

And Cena just gets on the mic and snaps. That's three points. However, if he actually goes on a rampage that's 5 points. You lose very little for guessing angle progression.

And if it's CM Punk who snaps and starts hitting GTS on everyone, well you get one point.

"Snaps" is subjective? If Cena turns heel, then I think it's pretty easy to see if he's "snapped" or not. Still, let's come to these issues when we come to them. Since I'm running this, my judgment will have to come into play during these arguments. I'm open to suggestions, however though my word is final on all decisions.
