What a week it was. As we reach the halfway point of the (Unsanctioned by Juan) WWE Pool, the standings have been shaken to their core. The once unstoppable Ermaximus has finally lost his stranglehold on first place, as his team continues to crumble around him. He earns a meager 150 points all week, allowing both Whiteyford and Mike Adamle to surpass him. Adamle has taken first, but Whitey is a mere 100 points away.

The storybook tale of the week belongs to VSG, though. Team VSG leaps through the ranks, passing three others, to tie Ermaximus in 3rd place. Will VSG be able to keep this pace up and continue all the way to the top?

With eight more weeks left, anything can happen!

Things are getting interesting! The boyhood dream of VSG has come true, as he reaches the pinnacle of first place. Of course, he is sharing that pinnacle with Mike Adamle right now. Whiteyford isn't that far behind. Meanwhile Ermaximus, silencing all of his naysayers, comes back in a big way and earns a whack load of points, almost enough to pass #1-wwf-fan. Can Ermax keep it up? Depending on who you ask, you will hear different answers. Nevertheless, the Top 5 in the pool all seem close enough for anything to happen here in the final weeks.

The bottom five are a different story. For the second week in a row, Lock Jaw has moved one person updwards in the ranks.

Next week could prove to be a TURNING POINT in the WWE Pool. There are at least two confirmed title matches happening, and from next week on there will be a whole extra hour of programming in which to earn potential points.

Much to my surprise... I have a pretty huge week! Team Lock Jaw now actually serves a threat to Tazz Dan, who has sat pretty stationary... being more than a thousand points ahead of those below him, but more than a thousand points away from those above him.

Droford also has a big week and manages to tie Ermaximus for fifth place. #1-wwf-fan also did good, widening his lead.... but still any of the top 4 could still catch him.

- Who will Sheamus face? Alberto Del Rio was supposed to be his opponent... but that has been "called off". Will they still meet at Summerslam? The answer could have repercussions for both Team Whiteyford and Team Lock Jaw.

- Speaking of the World Heavyweight Title, Dolph Ziggler still has the Money in the Bank briefcase. A successful cash in at Summerslam would be huge for Team VSG.

- A three-way Tag Team Title Match between R-Boom, The Prime Time Playas, and Primo and Epico is probably gonna happen. VSG and Tazz Dan have vested interests in a PTP win, while Ermaximus and Droford (currently tied) will have interest in an R-Boom win. Lock Jaw, meanwhile, holds the highly successful monopoly on Primo and Epico and if they walk out with the titles, he will be very happy.

- Whiteyford, Droford, and Triple Naitch all have an interest in the WWE Title match. A win could do all their teams some good.

- #1-wwf-fan has both the IC and US champs on his team. Could there be an impromptu title defense on the show, or the pre-show? (Because there sure won't be a feud or built up match or anything) Same goes for VSG and Diva's Champ Layla. She will probably be on the card for a pee break, but I'd say there are greater odds in some random tag match than a title defense.

I think Whiteyford has 3rd place on lock. He's down by 50 and he's got Lesnar who's in a match and two guys in title matches so worst case scenario, he's got 500 points right there. Mike Adamle only has Kane and Daniel Bryan who face each other which gives him 250 points and leaves him down by 200 at the very least. I can't see any way Uso gets a match. He'd need an Eve and a Jack Swagger match added to the card OR Eve's impromptu match to be against Layla for the women's title. Quite the long shot.
