According to Dre, he asked for Tupac's mother permission to use the hologram in the concert and would have also had Nate Dogg as well but something went wrong with getting his hologram to work.

There's a show at Universal Studios Orlando that uses similar technology to make it look like the presenter is onstage with Christopher Walken.

This is a fun use of that, but I agree that we might be getting kinda close to "slippery slope" territory.

It'd be great to see Elvis or The Rat Pack in Vegas, watch Andre the Giant wrestle, see Steve Jobs talk about Apple, or even see a "living" dinosaur in a museum.
