See? They inadvertently started a craze. Now they've got poor Daniel Bryan trying to sell himself as a heel, but the crowd isn't buying it as well as they wanted.

Pretty much proves he's just a gimmick. Vanilla midget certified.

The fact Daniel Bryan is a world champion, and guys like Perfect, Rick Rude, Regal, Jake Roberts, and The Million Dollar Man, never got the belt makes me want to vomit.

He's good. Great wrestler. Would be awesome as one of those guys putting on stellar midcard matches show after show.

Key word is mid-card. Unless WWE figures out some amazing formula, I gotta agree with Gertner. He just doesn't work for me as a world champion. He's so far from that level.

The business is totally different in terms of giving guys the Championship. Since there are two belts, they have a luxury of giving guys test runs. I look at the RAW Championship as "best lead wrestler", and the SD! Championship as "best supporting wrestler", so to speak.

You say that as if it's a good thing. The world title being given to a guy as a test run only makes it come off as worthless.

They've done it with the Raw title at times too. Punk's first reign, Sheamus' first reign. I'd even argue Miz' reign. I know people here were all for it but he was NOT built up to that point yet. That screamed the same "test run" you're referring to.

Oh yeah. And del Rio.

Nah, it's definitely bad for the belt lol. But it's definitely a luxury for WWE, knowing that they can give the guy a big gold belt, he can fuckin stink, and it wouldn't hurt as bad because there are two titles.

Bad long-term, luxury short-term I guess.

Yeah. That's why I can't see them unifying the belts and it's sad. You're trying to give guys test runs with a title that has become a prop for test runs and thus doesn't really do anything to test them... lol

Just because the fans cheer a thing one month or less doesn't mean an instant greenlight.
