View Full Version : WWE to send a talent to TNA?

tpww.net: It was reported around WrestleMania 28 that WWE had agreed to send one of their talents to TNA, most likely for a DVD appearance, in exchange for TNA allowing Ric Flair to appear at the Hall of Fame ceremony. Word came out later that the talent WWE would be sending likely had a history with Ric Flair, Sting and Hulk Hogan.

We don’t have a full report from her appearance yet but TNA President Dixie Carter appeared on Busted Open Radio earlier this week and talked about how it was an easy decision to allow Flair’s Hall of Fame appearance.

As noted earlier, Dixie said that in the next few months, we would see something come out of her allowing Flair to go. She then said that is all she will say and probably said too much already.

Dixie was also asked why TNA pay-per-view buys were in the 10,000′s when they get around 1 million people watching Impact per week. She said that is not true.

Who could this be? Any ideas? Has to be an old WCW guy to have the realtionship with Sting. Nash? Take your best guess......

Arn is the only one I can really think of.

No way WWE would send Punk to TNA right now imo

TNA will then push the WWE guy's DVD appearance to the moon, putting more focus on it then anything else in their company.

And Lock Jaw with the facts.

But yeah it has to be a WCW guy so I don't even know why Punk got mentioned in this thread. I'm thinking Arn.

So how long until WWE buys TNA or do they own it already?

Pretty sure its Jinder Mahal so they can have him promote Ring Ka King. Imagine the reaction of Mike Tenay when Jinder Mahal unexpectedly shows up in the Impact Zone. Pure ratings.

well punk used to wrestle in tna, an it would help with his story line of last year, he can wrestle anywhere he wants, he don't care what ace wants.

I would laugh fairly hard if TNA became WWE's new ECW.

Depends on what they mean by talent since if it just someone on the payroll, Arn Anderson makes sense but an active talent would be interesting to see who it would be.

Not that many on the current roster have any real long term connections with Sting, Flair, and Hogan unless they start counting part-timers to cover Triple H or Undertaker type stars.

So is this going to be like in soccer when a team loans another team a player? Are we going to start doing that in pro wrestling now?

That's why they're fucking up too, bro.

This. Except Kahli.

In seriousness, I think that's why they keep his hobbling ass around, as more of a "fuck you, you can't have 'em" maneuver. He'd be massively over in Ring ka King. Ammo for the competition.

Speaking of "ammo for the competition", really with all the people saying Punk? I mean, I can see if he were a lot farther down the card and NOT holding a company-carrying title. It makes sense for the whole "I go where I want and do what I want, screw you Johnny Ace!" thing, but that's just a 100% stupid business decision, and there is no possible way anyone suggesting he show up on a clusterfu- I mean episode of Impact would ever happen unless Vince purchaced TNA. I seriously hope those were jokes.

Besides, Dixie said "see something come out of" the Flair deal. That doesn't mean some guy showing up on Impact or even a guaranteed DVD appearance/commentary. If anything at this point, her words are leading to TNA making another "big announcement" that is sure to dissappoint when they finally get done hyping it.

Though it does good in most cases of main eventing, TNA does far better sticking to originals on top as far as good attractions (if they can do things WWE stars can't). Roode is doing excellent in his position, he is very good for the company. They have the superheel down, but the superface has still not been found since TNA came onto TV.

WWE sends talent to TNA all the time. It's called "wishing them the best in their future endeavours."

Hey, to be fair, that would probably make things hella more interesting as long as they didn't over do it. Like maybe once or twice a year. Would be better for both companies and thus better for the fan.

WWE shoulds end Miz to TNA to get Miz some of his heat back.

If it's someone like Arn Anderson I'd be kinda dissapointed to be honest. Would be pretty exciting if it was an active talent, regardless of their position on the card.

It says on the original story that it's most likely for a DVD appearance, most likely an interview or something.

Its TNA so meeting the guy on the street would count as having history.

And change the industry as we know it of course.
