View Full Version : Why Is Extreme Rules basically just Wrestlemania Rematches?

Am I wrong in thinking that Wrestlemania is usually the conclusion of a good portion of the feuds that are built up to it and that the wrestlers move on to new feuds after flying high off of their Wrestlemania performances?

The only "new" match that I'm even close to being interested in is Brock VS. Cena..and it's really just a rematch in that Cena is facing a returning wrestler who left the WWE for greener pastures and the match is being placed higher than both world title matches.

Why are we seeing Kane VS. Orton again??? Someone explain this to me.

Yes. You are wrong. For this is nothing new. The PPV after Mania has always been pretty much just Mania rematches. Well, not ALWAYS. But for many many years now.

Backlash always used to be rematches back in the day..... nothing really new.....

Yeah, that's why the PPV after WrestleMania was called "Backlash". Because it was the backlash of what happened at WrestleMania, so the name made sense.

Now we have Extreme Rules which is basically just a "What if those matches at WrestleMania were specialty matches?" PPV.

I dunno about you, but I'm happy to be seeing Punk/Jericho and Sheamus/Bryan again.

Or at least... Sheamus and Bryan in a match. :shifty:

I don't mind, given the participants. Even Rhodes vs Show was solid at mania.

Just rematches though?

Maybe I'm just wrong, but it seemed like a good percentage of feuds ended at Mania.

Wrestlemania is always described as the event where all feuds end but that is rarely the case. Wrestlemania usually has matches/feuds that haven't happened before because it's being saved for the big event. So the Wrestlemania match in a feud is usually the first match of the feud.

The actual reason would be that the PPV is usually only 2-3 weeks after Mania so they don't have enough time to build 5-7 new feuds.

if macho man had lost to Ultimate warriors now instead of then they woulda had him be retard for like a week then he would been back just like punk last summer when he leaves for a week and goes to a baseball match then comes back. weird.

Why do you bitch about everything? Can you explain that to me?????

I don't bitch about everything.

Let me explain this to you. Sometimes I think that certain things make sense and others don't. I tend to comment in both scenarios. If someone were to graph the amount that I bitch in comparison to the amount that I praise I suspect that it would be 53.2% bitching and 46.8% praising.

The word "everything" is all encompassing. Your question is based upon a false premise and so it would be impossible to answer honestly in the format you have given. Often times questions like these are born of ignorance, I would say that this is the case with you.

It's also "ironic" that you would bitch about someone else bitching about things when you, no doubt, have bitched about your fair share of topics. I personally find it more than a little funny that my post inspired your post considering that I have never interacted with you before and you seem to be over-confrontational.

In conclusion, go suck a cock you fruity little troll.
