$99? I can see at least a million more selling at that price!

What can Sony do to counteract?

Also, this must mean X720 is on its way soon...maybe even this years and they wanna get rid of inventory

lol game consoles are now like cell phones..im sure if you quit the live sub before the 2 years is up there is a huge early termination fee as well. im guessing youll be stuck paying the 360 live sub wven when the next xbox comes out too.

Yea, it'll be gripping games like Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 that do it.

Also, BWAHAHAHA. Xbox 360 and Windows were just banned in Germany. Looks like the copyright infringement dealio with Motorola might just be for serious.

Came into this thread thinking "Hmmm, how IS Multiple Sclerosis going to kill a PS3?" Is it a new tech virus or something?

The PS3 is alive. It's like a TARDIS with a YLOD.

Germany said Motorola can't enforce the ruling until after all the appeals, so it won't be banned for millions of years yet with all the courts companies can cry to.

On topic: killing PS3, meh.

However, if Microsoft wanted to wow me with this proposition, they'd have to do better than the stupid 4gig system. I understand they're trying to rope in the casuals who were the same people buying a Wii just for "WiiFit" and/or getting it just for Netflix streaming, but you can't *do* too much related with gaming with that.

It's not a bad deal actually, Microsoft needs to buy a video streaming company and bundle it with Xbox Live. They need to offer something other than "You can play with morons on the internet" with Live. Needing to have Gold in order to use Netflix is also a fucking crime.

... as is the removal of party watching, although apparently that was a Netflix decision and not a Microsoft one.

Fuck whoever made that decision. Watching Psych with friends online was awesome. You know that's right.

It's not bad a deal if you want a good system as long as you keep deleting the stuff on the hard drive.

is there a way to connect it to another HD or something?

I think(I'm not 100% sure on this) you are limited to drives that come with other 360s, ie the fat360 hdds out of the case thing/ones from other slims, without having a jtag. Again, not 100% sure on this tho.

Uhm, the German courts granted Motorola an injunction against MS yesterday, immediately banning the sale of Xbox360, Windows 7, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player (not that you buy those last 2) in Germany.

A U.S. court had ordered Motorola not to pursue the Germany ban until the U.S. appeals were taken care of. So places are reporting that Motorola won't enforce the ban. But it seems to me like they can if they want. I don't see how a U.S. court can order anything in regards to another nations legal system once said nation has made their own ruling in regards to the case.

You can use HDDHakker (or something. I know hacker is misspelled) to convert certain 2.5" HD's in any other 360.

I was wrong about Germany saying no, but apparently a Seattle court can stop it happening according to multiple sources. That is weird.

I don't think per se that the seattle court can stop them. I think it is more or less that Motorola will not force the issue in Germany just in case the courts in Seattle hold it against them.

Kind of hard to explain, but more or less saying, hey if you want to go ahead with the ban in Germany, fine. But remember, we asked you nicely not to go ahead with the ban until the appeal is over, and you did anyways, so don't come crying when we rule against you.

Hope that makes sense.
