View Full Version : The worst WWE game you ever played?

What is the worst WWE game you've ever played? For me, the worst WWE game I ever played was Smackdown vs RAW 2009. Sure it had a decent roster & soundtrack but it wasn't quite enjoyable. The career mode was a chore, Road to Wrestlemania mode was bleh and there was no General Manager mode. You could not take a created superstar through a FUCKING SEASON!

I think it is Wrestlemania 20 where the career mode was just like trying to sabotage Wrestlemania by throwing the construction workers who were building the arena to their death.

My friends and I played Wrestlemania 19 for a long time, playing mostly the Revenge stages in multiplayer. Throwing each others off skyscrapers was awesome.

WWE Raw for PC is the worst I have played.

I want to say Raw 2 because of the season mode, but then I don't want to say Raw 2 because you could set a trap of dropping a box on Jazz every segment.

Impact and Backstage Assault are both hard to bet against, but if we're talking WWF/E games, I really can't think of anything near that level of noteworthy awfulness. Some of the NES games were pretty rough due to simplistic and limited controls and gameplay, but the nostalgia factor is high for those.

We had an epic fatal four way once. 3 of us on the cell and one guy cowering in the ring because he didn't want to get hurt.

One guy gets up another one in a gorilla press and I spear him. The guy being lifted comes down on me and we all fall through the cell, onto the guy in the ring.

One of those two got up first and pinned the guy that refused to come up and fight. Huge mark out moment.

The one cool thing about Royal Rumble for Dreamcast/Arcade was that it's had the most wrestlers on-screen at once in any wrestling game that I know of at 9, even including the Fire Pro games.

Kind of wish it never came out on arcade though as the cart space limited the roster. Just making it for Dreamcast would have beefed it up pretty heavily.

I don't get the hate Crush Hour gets. It might have not been fantastic but it's not at bad as some people say it is.

Me personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the game when I was younger and it was something different and refreshing than seeing the wrestlers in their usual ring. Also, the creativity of the game was pretty good too with the arena layouts and especially with the way they managed to capture the characteristics and look of the wrestlers and create a vehicle out of them.

Also, who can forget the Twisty Rockets?

I enjoyed War Zone. :(

The only problem I had with it was that the grapple button, was the exact same button for picking up weapons. So as a kid, I would sometimes lose my temper when I was playing and went to grapple my opponent, only for me to pick up a TV or a bell and my opponent then kick me in the gut and take full control of the match.

I would then lose.

I enjoyed War Zone as well, my brothers and I played the hell out of that game.
We had an entire federation set up, using both the real wrestlers and our 3-4 memory cards worth of CAWs.

WWF Attitude was a let-down though, they expanded on key parts of War Zone that needed improvement, but then they tried to build on the grappling control scheme and screwed everything up; every match just turned into 'armbar-hammerlock-armbar-punch-kick-armbar'.
The season mode was pretty awful too, whoever felt it was necessary to make you play countless house shows between RAW and PPVs was crazy.
