I'd look forward to it more if he wasn't going to TNA. But maybe they'll shock the world and do something good with him

Dunno if TNA made that banner but it looks like they'll start him off against Sting.. He's got amateur wrestling credentials, but they'll have to put him in with a "vet" not only to get him over with non-MMA fans, but because he is green as far as prowrestling is concerned.. They'll need someone experienced to carry him for the first run, I would imagine..

Dunno if he's that big a name that it's going to make huge waves, can't be any worse than Pac-man though.

Listening to him on MMA Uncensored, he has about zero mic skills. Not too excited at this point.

I'm an average fan of MMA, and I've never even heard of him....thus, I don't really care....

He is 8-1 and the former Strikeforce LHW champ.. He was gonna start in UFC but failed a drug test, then called a reporter a racist bitch, so Zuffa cut him..
He's pretty famous around MMA circles..

I'm not really that excited.
Mo will feud with Bully Ray for a month before turning into his corner man.

Not at all. Seems like TNA is just trying to pull a Lesnar scenario and bring 'credibility' to their organization by hiring an MMA guy. Not saying thats what this actually is, just considering the timing and everything, it really does seem like a copy cat move.

Honestly dont think it's a good idea. Well... at least it's not Tank Abbott but pro wrestling training is hard work (personal expirence) even if he is a pro athlete. I think guys need to train for years before making it to a national level. By that point nobodies gonna remember why he was hired

He's not just any pro athlete though..
Wrestling
Lawal was a Big 12 Conference champion and Division 1 All-American in 2003 for Oklahoma State, and claimed three U.S. National Championships (2005, `06, `08). Lawal won the NCAA Division II championship at the University of Central Oklahoma. After his collegiate career, Lawal participated in Real Pro Wrestling, becoming the champion in its only season. In 2005, Lawal became a U.S. national team member, earning 7th place at the World Championships in Budapest. For over three years, Lawal was the number 1 ranked wrestler in the United States in the 84 kilogram division.[2]
Lawal earned silver at the 2007 World Team Trials. Muhammed was the favorite to win gold, but he was upsetted by Andy Hrovat, whom he defeated before, losing a spot on the Olympic Team.[3][4]

He's not in the UFC, and he's going to TNA. Nobody cares and this will have literally no effect on TNA's product or ratings.

King Mo should go to OVW and they should try him out there. Let him squash a few nobodies and see if he's got that connection with the crowd and potential to become a star.
TNA should focus on getting professional wrestlers into their company and working on developing the talent they have. If I were TNA, I'd be trying to coerce Low Ki to come back to the promotion full-time.
