When I heard Husky Harris was playing a redneck preacher in a Hawaiian shirt, I thought that it would be quite cheesy. After checking out his work, however, I think this might be a pretty interesting character if given time to develop. I always thought there was creepy potential in Husky Harris dating right back to NXT Season 2. Something triggered Deliverance banjos in my head. It was something to do with the dynamic of his tattoos against his build and youth, I think.

His Bray Wyatt character seems less to be cheap heat and actually seems somewhat cerebral. I think he could be a great addition to a main roster, and I would love to see him return with Eli Cottonwood in-tow to get revenge on Randy Orton for the punt in the skull those many moons ago.

Wyatt wouldn't need to beat Orton in their feud, but I think it would be an impressive way to debut this character, as opposed to just sticking him against jobbers and having him squash them. Have him cost Orton the World Heavyweight Title at Over the Limit and then when he faces Orton, the match ends in DQ when Cottonwood gets involved and the two beat Orton down.

Would they let a gimmick like this in WWE PG? I hope so. Seems a little bit too similar to what Damien Sandow is doing now though.

Aiden English looks like a clone of Austin Aries except less muscles.

Anythings better than 2 months of squash matches. Love Husky Harris though, best thing on NXT ever, outside of AJ, the whole 'devil wears cowboy boots' promo was gold.

Husky looks much fitter than last time I seen him. And yeah, seems like a good gimmick.

Probably because he was wearing a shirt and had an awesome new beard. Black is slimming.

How is Bray Wyatt anything at all like Damien Sandow?

Hopefully they let him run with it, it is literally the exact same gimmick as Waylon Mercy...who was pretty over for being a super creepy heel in 1995.

Dan Spivey rejoined the WWF in June 1995, adopting the name Waylon Mercy in a character based on Robert De Niro's portrayal of Max Cady in the 1991 remake of Cape Fear. Like Cady, he had jet black hair, wore white attire with a Hawaiian shirt, and sported several strange tattoos, including one of a dagger on his forehead (Spivey's were artificial). The character was introduced through a series of vignettes that always had Spivey speaking in a calm yet sinister manner, finishing with the phrase "Lives are gonna be in Waylon Mercy's hands. You know what I mean?"

Eli Cottonwood is the most awkward looking bodyguard since Jackson Andrews. He just looks like a tall John Morrison. Husky seems to have improved a quite a bit though, just needs a better finish than the half chokeslam / slap in the face. The creepy gimmick suits him, also makes his bizarre way of positioning seem less out of place.

love how Husky gets another spin of the name generator but Eli Cottonwood is still Eli Cottonwood.

Waylon Mercy wasn't over.

Awesome. The gimmick, the promo, Cottonwood standing behind him the whole time. I loved it.

Him singing "Time Is on My Side" at the end was a little awkward though.

Eli Cottonwood looks like a mountain rapist

Which makes him an awesome sidekick for a creepy southern preacher in a Hawaiian shirt.

The first time I watched this, at the beginning I thought he said "I don't need no newfangled internet machine to tickle my pickle."

Exactly this. He seems like he could pull off freakish member of a Southern cult congregation well.

I do believe that a new finishing move could be in order for Wyatt, though. As Axel Mulligan, or whatever he was calling himself for a while when he was under a mask, he used a version of the Stunner. That could be a pretty nice move for him to use.

He's faily similar but with a different build and a dash of Azazel from the movie Fallen too he always would sing that "Time is on my Side" tune.

But yeah, I would definitely give Wyatt a pass straight through into main SmackDown! storylines. Make the character mean something right out the gate. After Orton beats him, he can then go down and squash Tyson Kidd a few times.

I don't like the idea of him facing Orton as revenge for the kick though. The gimmick is awesome and a chance for him to start fresh. Why have him bring up when he was Husky Harris and get revenge for something barely anyone is going to remember?

Mr. Nerfect

He could allude to it without making the whole feud about it. "Do you remember, Randy? There's a reckoning coming for the sins of your past." People who know could take it as a little gem to increase their enjoyment of the story, but people who don't would just boo Wyatt for being creepy and going after their hero.

He could be a major star by SummerSlam, methinks. Not a World Heavyweight Champion or anything, but certainly a heel that could work a tag team main event on SmackDown!.

NO! NO! NO!

The only way to debut a guy - especially of Rotundo's build - is to have him run the squash routine. Preferably when two other guys are doing at the same time in a slightly different way.

Bring back Eli Cottonwood! I was and probably still am his only real supporter. Only man in sports entertainment history who can wear and NOT wear a mustache at the same time!

Wow! That was an impressive promo and I loved the dancing spot during the match.

My instinct says use Wyatt and Cottonwood as a team to bolster the Tag Division or have Wyatt in a manager type role for Cottonwood and a partner.
