Dark Matches:
* Dean Ambrose defeated a local wrestler.
* CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho in an Anything Goes match.
* John Cena, Randy Orton and Sheamus beat Lord Tensai, Kane and Dolph Ziggler.
WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday):
* Attendance looks low but there is a lot of Daniel Bryan chants. Heat for Michael Cole as he comes out with Booker T to the announcers table.
* John Laurinaitis opens the show and talks about facing John Cena at Over the Limit. Laurinaitis wants sympathy and wants the fans to pray for him. WWE Champion CM Punk interrupts to a huge pop.
Punk comes out and is glad that Laurinaitis will finally be terminated after John Cena beats him on Sunday. Punk wishes Laurinaitis the best in his future endeavors to a big pop from the crowd. Punk goes on ripping Laurinaitis until he’s had enough. Laurinaitis tells everyone to go to hell and announces Punk vs. Kane for tonight.
* WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth beat Darren Young and Titus O’Neil.
* Zack Ryder is backstage filming his YouTube show when Damien Sandow is shown walking to the ring.
* Sandow comes out as Yoshi Tatsu waits in the ring. Sandow cuts a promo and doesn’t think Tatsu is worthy of wrestling him tonight. Yoshi taunts Sandow and calls him a chicken. Sandow lays Tatsu out with a modified neckbreaker and leaves.
* A Big Show video airs.
* Backstage segment with Sheamus and Randy Orton hyping up the four-way title match at Over the Limit.
* Daniel Bryan beat Zack Ryder with the Yes Lock.
* Kane beat CM Punk by DQ with Daniel Bryan staying out for commentary. Bryan tried to interfere with a chair shot but hit Kane instead. Kane, thinking Punk hit him with the chair, laid the WWE Champion out.
* Santino Marella beat Cody Rhodes in a champion vs. champion match.
* Randy Orton defeated Sheamus in the main event with a roll-up. The title was not on the line. After the match, they shook hands but Orton left Sheamus laying with a RKO.

I see the WWE is sticking Bryan in the middle so he doesn't ruin the ratings.

Hopefully Titus took the fall. :-\

Sandow has bright pink tights and bright purple knee pads. Very plain and generic. Yet, he still looked awesome. Go figure.

I saw his match on FCW on April 23. Decent wrestler but the opponent was not very good so I couldn't really gauge Sandow.

Bryan is making a habit of stealing the show. The Punk match got some brilliant last minute build.

Bryan is by far the best character I've seen in a long time. I just wish he could talk a bit better. The stuff he was saying was pretty gold ("CM Punk kicks hard; but I kick harder. The Anaconda Vise is a great submission hold; but The Yes Lock is better"), and he's nowhere near as bad on the mic as a lot of other guys (even guys that people say are "good"), but there's still room for improvement. An amazing character, though. The chair shot to Kane was brilliant, and Bryan crouching on the stage just watching with utter Machiavellian joy in his eyes was amazing.

After seeing the opening segment, I was fairly certain that CM Punk would be retaining the WWE Title at Over the Limit, and while I am still going with that, the build certainly gave Bryan an edge heading into the PPV. Expect lots of rib work from Bryan.

Darren Young & Titus O'Neil were not as bad as I thought they could have been, but I didn't really care. At all. I like pretty much every other tag team in the WWE. Note: They're not bad, they're just not interesting yet. I still think a Superstars feud with The Usos is the way to go. Have Young steal Tamina away from them, and give The Usos a reason to beat these dudes.

The Big Show video annoyed me. The whole angle annoys me. There is a meme waiting to happen with a picture of a blubbering Big Show and the phrase "Would rather cry than go to TNA" displayed. But, realistically, Big Show is a multi-time World Champion and should have amassed millions of dollars in his professional career. When Johnny Ace tried to punk him, Show should have just knocked him the fuck out.

This whole Cena vs. Laurinaitis stuff makes no sense to me, in fact. Why is Johnny Ace getting back into the ring with Cena? I seem to remember Cena beating Lesnar and then saying that the boss was not going to be happy with him. Lesnar then attacked Triple H and suddenly Laurinaitis decided that the way to save his job was to interject himself into the main event of Over the Limit against Cena?

Kind of want to see Yoshi Tatsu do a cheeky impression.

I think this cena/ ace thing will end up having big show (the only way to get his job back turning into a reluctant heel) interfere or brock lesner ( which could see a save from triple h or some such, only to have tensai attack triple h) since neither man can be terminated.

Basically I just think that a stable led by Johnny ace with Paul heyman that includes big shoe, Brock lesnar, and lord tensai, would be fucking unstoppable.

Yeah this whole thing is stupid anyway. When you see a guy like CM Punk basically sticking it to Johnny Ace every week, but then a 7-foot 500lb monster like the Big Show cries like a baby and cringing with fear whenever Eve approaches him... definitely gotta be some kinda angle in the works here. But the whole thing just plays out really stupidly.

Thought Smackdown was great with the usual greatness from Punk and Bryan. Also, Sandow ruled and I thought Orton/Sheamus was a PPV caliber main event.

I was thinking along those lines as well. Big Show or Brock can cost Cena the match. The stipulation was that if any superstar interfered, he would be fired, but you can't fire someone who has already been fired (Show) or quit (Lesnar). It's GOTTA be that.

Enjoyed this week's show more that last week's. Still annoyed by the amount of replays of/cross-overs with Raw but I can't see that changing anytime soon.

No RyBerg. No Antonio. No Brodus. No Epico/Primo/AW. etc.

Guess with a PPV at the weekend they have to push the star attractions. Hopefully those storylines/angles pick back up after OTL.

Also, thought Sandow was great (again) and was gonna suggest they set up a Sandow/Ryder fued with Zack representing the Twitter/Facebook Generation that Sandow despises (despite being on Twitter himself) and they may have planted the seed for that.

When I first saw the Sandow video promos, I was worried he wouldn't be able to carry the same tone on a live mic, but he's been pretty on point thus far. :y:

Yeah, I was thinking about how good his delivery was during his promo. Not a stutter or stammer or mispronounced word, etc. Pretty impressive given the content of his promos.

Where the fuck was Ryback.

Sandow is boring promo but his Rick Martel gear is awesome and so is his neckbreaker thing.

Sandow is pretty fucking fantastic, and the idea of a feud between him and Zack Ryder is an absolutely brilliant idea.

Sandow really needs to change his tights pronto if he's going to be taken seriously as being an intellectual savior would have expected something more on the cultured side from him... oh and you're welcome.

I'd like it if WWE was any good at building two characters at the same time in a feud. Unfortunately though, it would just be Ryder being used to put Sandow over. So Sandow can be used in a year to put ________ over. *sigh*

Didn't he say he hated Jersey Shore in his pre-debut promos?

Easy feud to make.
