DISCUSSION - Some thoughts on Heyman and a "new next big thing", Kane/Hardy, and Edge
<font color=white>Should Heyman come back to WWE programming with a "new" next big thing?</font>: OK - I'm not suggesting that Heyman should come back with a Lesnar CLONE (i.e. a 6'6 295 lbs power wrestler that squashes others), but simply another guy who wins matches in a IMPRESSIVE fashion. What about if Heyman (5-6 months from now), came back with a guy who was........oh I dunno.........6'0 or 6'1, but was an AWESOME technical wrestler. Just as Lesnar did, this guy then rises almost meteorically within the WWE (not QUITE as fast as Lesnar.......more along the lines of a Kurt Angle).
Basically - Heyman can start building his OWN reputation as a GENIUS for scouting talent.
<font color=white>Anyone else think that Matt Hardy will "screw" Lita (and no - I'm not talking about sexual intercourse></font>: I'm not sure where the WWE will go with the whole Matt/Kane angle, but does anyone else see Matt and Kane being in 'cahoots' in the end? It doesn't make too much sense, but I can see the WWE going this route.
A Kane/Matt Hardy association does seem strange, but maybe it will help rejuvinate both of their careers?...................... :?: Perhaps KAne and Matt Hardy will become the INVERSE of the old Kane/X-Pac tag team. I'd prefer to see the WWE push MAtt and Lita as faces, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Kane/Hardy thing pan out.
<font color=white>Edge</font>: OK - If the WWE are going to push Edge as a face, they need to change his personality a bit.....to make him interesting. Personally - I thought Edge's ORIGINAL gimmick (when he first debuted) was pretty interesting (i.e. the one where he NEVER spoke, and made entrances from the crowd). I realize that it's usually never a good idea to go BACK in time (as opposed to 'moving forward'), but the WWE recently did that with Undertaker.......they used a more successful and intriguing gimmick of his from the past.
Why can't they do that with Edge? Either go back to being the OLDSCHOOL Edge (the silent dude who entered from the crowd), or go back to being the 'funny' and slightly 'goofy' guy. THIS CURRENT EDGE WILL NOT SUCCEED AS A MAIN-EVENT FACE!

I agree Edge now-a-days isn't as entertaining as the funny edge.

1) Based on current storylines, it looks as thouh Paul heyman will be "re-vamping" The Dudleys and possibly (hopefully?) some other ECW alumni.
But down the road, a new "next big thing" would definitely be a good storyline. Before the Eugene gimmick, Nick Dinsmore would have fit your description perfectly. As it is, i'm not sure who on the roster would fit the mold, but it would be agreat way to get a new talent over.
2) So maybe Matt helps Kane get Lita in exchange for Kane's services as a bodyguard/enforcer type? Really, really interesting idea and it'd be a great swerve. it would also make more sense than the "reasoning" behind Trish's turn. Thing is, once the plan is revealed, who comes to Lita's aid? Jeff Hardy? Essa Rios? If the WWE starts teasing another amle character in this storyline then its a possibility. Because even with a great swerve, Matt and Kane don't really get over by double-teaming (no pun intended) Lita.
3) One of Edge's strong points is his mic skills. I like the entrances from the crowd idea. But I think he has to cut promos to get over. He's not intimidating enough to just stand there.

Is it me or does Heyman really want Lesnar to return? Because you've made several refernces to Lesnar in the past week or two, talking like he's returning or some story line he could be involved in. :y:

as far as Edge goes, i would have really liked him to come back as a dark and mysterious character again. He has alot of qualities that remind me of Sting. I would have loved to see him come back as a crow sting like character or something. But alas it's difficult to go back.
As far as Hardy goes, i think he's gonna turn face and Lita is gonna turn heel

Hmmmmmmmmm!
That's pretty interesting.....never really thought of it that way. Few things though.
1) Would it be too similar to the Trish/Jericho/Christian storyline? (or perhaps Trish's actions could've motivated Lita to do the same thing???)
2) Will the fans really be willing to cheer AGAINST Lita in favor of Matt?
3) Is it good for Kane's character to have a girlfriend? I'm thinking NO.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Lesnar return. Lesnar was one of my favorite wrestlers. Since I only get Raw, I would have liked to have seen him go to Raw.
People like Lesnar just aren't born everyday. :nono:

I dotn really care about the Lita/Matt/Kane storyline. From what I understand, Kane is going to challenge for the World Title at the June RAW PPV, so I think this is just a short term thing to heat up Kane. Because nothing puts a guy up to main event status like beating up Matt Hardy. I think Lita and Hardy will just get back together and Hardy will go face, simple as that. But some of the other ideas are interesting, I just dont care about these three people.
Edge has a cool look, but when he talks I always find myslef laughing because I cant take him seriously. Its something he'll have to work on, and I think he'll get the opportunity in the very near future.
I also like the idea of him being the dark mysterious character he was back in the day. I actually thought that would have been a good way to bring him back, but it seems too late for that now.
I like the idea of Heyman bringing in a new "Next Big Thing". Personally I would use a big guy, say Matt Morgan (whenever he's ready). Its a good gimmick, it would fit with Heyman, and heck if Lesnar were to ever come back even if it was just for one match, you'd have a built in storyline with the new Next Big Thing. I think they should let this ECW faction thing (or whatever its going to be) play out, and then after that maybe go that route with Heyman.
Should Heyman come back to WWE programming with a "new" next big thing?
I'd like to see Heyman push for the ECW stable on Smackdown which will HOPEFULLY consist of RVD as the leader, and top heel of Smackdown. RVD could pick up a little bit of momentum, but it'd be difficult considering the only big faces on Smackdown are Undertaker, Eddie, and Cena. Let's face it, no one's going to go over the Undertaker anytime soon, RVD can't just beat Eddie unless he's pushed properly, and has an extensive feud, and Cena has too much momentum to look inferior to RVD at this moment. RVD can be the next big thing (again), but it'd take a lot of work.
Anyone else think that Matt Hardy will "screw" Lita (and no - I'm not talking about sexual intercourse?
It'd be pretty stupid to have Matt Hardy turn against Lita again so soon after his face turn, but then again we're talking about WWE writers so anything can happen.
Edge
I agree that Edge's current character is bland, he needs to go back to the comedic Edge like when he was with Christian if he's going to be over at all with the fans. I'm really liking Edge's work in the ring with the exception of one thing THE SPEAR IS NOT A SUITABLE FINISHER! Edge ought to use the Spear to soften his opponent then apply the Edge-O-Matic, Edgecution, or the Edgeucator.

i think the only viable "next big thing" would be RVD on a heel turn. Heyman could carry RVD on the mic, and RVD himself could start being a cocky little a-hooooole. if he did that, plus put a lot more effort into his ring work, i might even like him.
nah, that'll never happen - F.UCK RVD!

-I hope this thing with Tommy Dreamer turns out to be a work, and Heyman comes out on RAW and gives Dreamer a lecture on who he used to be. So Dreamer starts to feud with Evolution, and eventually wins the IC Title.
-I can't help but think how great it'll be to have Matt Hardy throw Lita into Kane's waiting arms and bolt out of there. Hardy would be great as a cocky tweener type person. One who plays the face role, but picks on people lower than him, if that makes any sense?
-I don't really like Edge's new psychotic role. Edge makes a way better comedy type credible face.
-I wouldn't mind seeing RVD turn heel under Paul Heyman, but if there is a new "Next Big Thing", I'm thinking Matt Morgan, Rhyno or Jon Heidenreich.

Even I a huge Edge mark would have to agree with that statement, as a truer statement has never been stated before

Personally? - I'd love to see Edge hook back up with Christian........and they would "share" Trish. :naughty:
They wouldn't have to be a permanent tag team, but they could still be associated with one another. Trish could manage both of them as singles competitors, and they could also have the odd tag match.
