In Your Opinion: If the WWE were to unify the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship, who should be the first one to hold the unified trophy?

Considering the current scenario, I would go with CM Punk. Although he has been out of the "main event" picture and the "focus" of the WWE, he is still getting attention for his work.

I am quite impressed by the fact that he has held on to the strap since last year's Survivor Series and hasn't got stale yet. Not only that, his win rate is quite exceptional.

One might argue that the ratings have been very low during his reign. Ratings can never judge good wrestling and I could not care less.

Feel free to post your views

I'd go with Daniel Bryan. He's on the rise, he's really over with the fans, and would benefit the most (career-wise) out of being the first one who holds the unified title (similar to when Jericho did).

Cena. Punk and Bryan don't draw.

Ryback is by far the best thing in the WWE.

They should go the same route as they did with Jericho and have somebody relatively new to main eventing defeat the 2 top dogs in the company that being Orton and Cena it would be a great push to say the least so with that said i'd pick either Dolph Ziggler or Cody Rhodes i'd say there both ready for the spotlight at this point.

Totally forgot Ryback. He's probably going to win the WWE and World Heavyweight titles. He will then move on to ROH and win their Heavyweight title. He would then go to TNA and win their TNA World title. He would then go to Japan and win the Heavyweight belts of all the major promotions. He would then go to Mexico and win all their Heavyweight titles. He would then move to Canada and win all their major titles. He would then return to the United States and rob all the independent promotions of their major championships (includes the NWA World Heavyweight title).

He would successfully defend all his titles till he retires at 80. Hence giving the world a true World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion for a period of 50* years.

Hell yeah, Ryback is awesome an I don't get why people compare him to Goldberg. Ryback is way better for obvious reasons.

What are these obvious reasons, I wonder?

Also, Cena.

Ryback needs to start beating up more black wrestlers.

Smackdown should be nothing but Ryback rasslin jobbers for 2 hours.

That would definitely aid the purpose of showcasing Ryback as a monster and an unstoppable force.

I just want the damn belts united. Having two primary titles only gives half of the importance to each. As far as who... yeah, I'll go with Ryback.

Raw and Smackdown should feature only Ryback matches.

Tyson Kidd should do it, since a Canadian did it last time too.

All jokes apart, Punk, Daniel Bryan and John Cena seem to have a chance if the unification were to happen. Maybe Wade Barrett too.

so Ryback's the new TPWW Hipster Meme? I preferred "JBL is the greatest wrestler ever", and that's saying something :-\

almost forgot, I'd go with somebody like Ziggler. Bryan, Punk, or Cena, none of really need the rub that unifying the titles would give you. If a fresh, hungry uppermidcard guy like Zigg pulled a convincing "I told you I was that good" persona from doing that, he'd fucking explode.

He'll be lucky to keep his job. Not to mention, he STILL hasn't gotten his tag team title shot with R-Truth yet.

They have already unified the titles once. Chris Jericho was the first undispute WWE Champion in WWE history. But if they were to do it again I would have to say Randy Orton or Sheamus. They both have the IT factor when it comes to picking a person apart in the Ring.

Heart says CM Punk. Mind says John Cena.

If they were to unify them like they did when jericho won I would like to see Daniel Bryan be the first. It can't be someone obvious and his gimmick works so well for it

I'd go with a dark horse in Randy Orton. It would help to solidify his position as a franchise player in the WWE, and Orton has been in need of a BIG win for a very long time. Considering how great he's been over the past couple of years, Orton deserves the spotlight for awhile.

I'd go with a tournament featuring John Cena, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho. Cena would make sense, although he really doesn't need it. CM Punk would also make sense, as it would fit his "Best in the World" persona. Daniel Bryan would get an immense rub from doing it.

I'd go with Punk. Just because.

If Cena were to win both the titles, he would become a 14-time World Champion, overtaking Hogan and HHH. Which would destroy me.

Ermaximus

I can assure you, with Jericho's work schedule, he will never unify the titles again.
