So does anyone else watch this show? Watched the first two episodes last night on G4 and was pretty impressed with it. They held the Southwest qualifying round and out of the hundreds that tried out, only 26 even finished the course, so 4 got through that didn't even complete the course. What really surprised me was that a 53 year old grandfather finished the course and is going to the regional round.
I know a buddy of mine tried out this season and should be seen during the Southeast qualifiers. (He's dressed like Goku.)

I used to watch ANW, but the stupid boot camp and team thing just lost me. I want our best to go over there like in the first season. I did love the fact that a few of the guys that didn't make "our team" still took their asses over there anyway. I hope one day someone goes all the way though.
BTW

God have I missed you! So I've only seen the Southwest region so far, and Brent Steffenson has to be the odds on favorite to win right now.

Oh Brent came back. That's cool. I honestly, just gave up on the show. I mean I'll watch when they go over, but I just can't. To many good talents, just got screwed to much for my liking. Anyway is Levi back?

Southwest regionals are set. Only 13 of the 30 finished the course and the only "huge" name moving on is Brent Steffenson. I know Paul Darnell (stunt double for Robert Pattinson), Jesse La Flair (youtube parkour phenom), and Evan Dollard (former American gladiator) are all moving on too. That La Flair kid is one to watch though because he was lighting that course up like it was his bitch, and he's a rookie to this!
Levi Muwenberg? Lol, he went out the first round when he fell into the water on the first obstacle.
I'll get a complete list of the 15 moving on to Vegas up later tonight. 1 region down, 5 to go. Sadly though, they won't be going to Japan to climb Mt. Midoriyama. The built their own version in Vegas so, we'll get to see 100 Americans compete on the American version.

AH.
Gess.
I really don't know. I'm having mixed feeling about this whole thing. I'll just have to wait to see.

Considering that they are only taking the top 15 qualifiers from each region, and there are 6 regions this year, that means that there will be 10 wild card spots awarded to people who didn't even qualify. Any money says Levi gets in anyways and that's kind of bullshit if he does.

The Midwest region kind of blows at this.

They kind of screwed the Northeast guys. They got 7 obstacles while everyone else only got 6. Kind of a shitty deal.

North East has cooler weather. Everybody else has to deal with extreme heat along with everything else. I think that's probably why they made it longer for them.
Also with the final in Vegas they are going to have to be stronger to deal with the heat there.

I don't know. The majority of the Southeast qualifiers took place early in the morning so I'm sure it wasn't as humid as you'd expect.

So 90 of the 100 are set for Vegas, but I'm curious to how the hell they decide on the last ten spots?
Also, I can't believe a Harlem Globetrotter is going to Vegas.

Tried to watch it, but it didn't do anything for me.
Much like American Iron Chef; this one didn't have the personality or production values of the original, so just felt like a bland imitation to me.

I was just going to say...the Globetrotter guy is definitely one of my faves to possibly become the first ANW.

I'd be ok with that, but I see his size working against him in Vegas.
I'd put my money on La Flair, Volcko, McGrath, Darnell, and Kasemir for now.

I hate all the cocky asswipes who do flips to show off in the middle of the course. I was so glad to see the guy from London go out after his flip off the spiderwall. They need to treat it more seriously, have fun with it but dont be an ass. Also dislike the olympic medal winning announcer. They both repeat themselves a lot, which is going to happen after 100 people do the same course but when he does it i hate him. He never adds anything interesting to the show.
All my negativity aside, i hate sports and i watch this show. So obviously i love me some ninja warrior. I root for the people with a positive outlook on life.

Lol I can't take J. Moseley seriously. I mean, he was a host for the Real World/Road Rules Challenges and all.

Also, does anyone know if any of the final 24 failed during either of the qualifying/regional rounds? I want to know who I need to root against, cause I only want people who destroy every fucking course to win. Hate that they let losers still participate. "Oh these women did awful, LET'S BRING THEM TO THE FINALS!!!"

I know Will Dodd didn't finish in the regional final, but he's the only guy from his region to beat stage one of the finals.

So yet again, nobody completes the course, but Brent Steffensen becomes the only American to ever get past the ultimate cliffhanger. Better luck next year in ANW5 everyone.
