I haven't seen a thread for the guys competing for a contract every month on TNA so I figured i'd start one.

This week Joey Ryan went against one of my personal favorites Awesome Aries(ok Austin but awesome fits don't it).

The gimmick look stupid with his mouth open all day.

I don't know if Aries was just in character or if he really got hurt when this guy did the pump handle suplex. It looked weird but the landing looked sound. I didn't really get to see a move-set on this guy.

I vote no.

Interesting. How many contract matches have they had so far?

They've had 2 so far DeathtotheSwiss. First guy got a contract though supposedly he wasn't supposed to, and Flair screwed the pooch by going off script. As for this guy I vote no. He looks like a 70's porn star, and from what I saw is pretty average in the ring. Besides TNA has too much unused talent as it is they don't need more people flooding the locker room when they can't even use what they've got.

Not only does TNA have a lot of unused talent. The Talent is good. Especially the X Division.

I don't know, Joey Ryan is better than the other guy who got one before him. All the guys getting "tryouts" are already apart of one of the TNA affiliates (OVW, Ring Ka King, 3D or Nasty Boys Schools)

Can't really see what these people can do in a 3 minute match. Are they all quick scrub outs like that?

I have to vote no contract. The guy looks way too much like Ben Stiller from Dodgeball and I hate that movie. That pump-handle was what JR would call "modified" cause he fucked up.

Joey Ryan is the goods, and deserves to get a break.

TNA needs more sleaze!

foflmao My first thought was weather or not he was going for the Ben
Stiller look. My question is his focus because he didnt show anything wrestle wise. Unless that pump handle was suppose to look odd I didn't see anything other than a cheap gimmick that remind me of how much i hated the spirit squad.

Reciently that one random X Division guy Anthony Nese left TNA. They never really used him, I thought he was decient from what I saw (he had the look on top of that)

Joey Ryan is a good talent and all that, but I've never really been too into him. Apparently he was trending on Twitter after his match, though. Personally, there are a few other people I'd rather see TNA pursue before they take Ryan, though.

El Generico, for example, in the X-Division. That would be gold.

Generico would look pretty awful on TV in a company with guys like Robert Roode around, not sure he's seen the inside of a gym or any sunlight

I have no idea what the hell is going on in TNA but I like voting on things. Yes! Yes! Yes!

The dude has got that general likeability of a Spike Dudley or Hurricane Helms, in my opinion. Yeah, Helms was fucking shredded compared to the guy, but Generico's persona and ring work would allow him to be a sympathetic and likeable addition to the roster.

Hell, you have Bobby Roode beat the living shit out of him and you have more heel heat for Bobby Roode, at least.
