So what does this guy have to do, or how long does he have to wait until the crowd actually starts chanting,"Ryback!" instead of "Goldberg!"?

Yeah, those Goldberg chants kinda annoy me. I actually enjoy watching Ryback.

Depends on the smark density of the crowd.

I'm afraid the fans won't stop chanting "Goldberg" when Ryback comes out unless Goldberg himself appears.
Other than that, I think we're stuck with it.

I think once he starts feuding with active WWE wrestlers, the "Goldberg" chants will start to fade. Fans were chanting "Goldberg" when Lesnar first debuted too. Although I'd say Ryback is more similar to Goldberg than Lesnar is.
When he gets over and the fans start to buy into him as the first Ryback instead of the 356th big man monster.

When people realize they can chant his name the same way they do goldbergs
When he gets over and the fans start to buy into him as the first Ryback instead of the 356th big man monster.

When Ryback goes into the audience and puts every single one of those fat smarks into his finisher at once.

So would fans be chanting if he actually beat Goldberg? And when Goldberg comes out, will they then be chanting RYBACK RYBACK RYBACK!!?

Fox has a pretty good answer. So does Juan.

Whenever he gets a feud that actually matters.
Any thoughts on who Ryback's first opponent will be?
Wade Barret?

Ryback's first feud should be with Jap Albert

As long as his first real feud isn't against Santino, I'm game.

Though his music is pretty cool, but maybe a theme with lyrics, or something royally epic like Goldbergs (but not too close to Goldberg's theme) might have one of those essential impact effects in his appearance, and might get him more over.

So Ryback is secretly the King of the Cosmos? Awesome!
