View Full Version : Putting Kane in the Punk/Bryan feud has greatly peaked my interest

Really liked the Kane vs Punk match on Smackdown, and haven enjoyed what they are doing with this storyline now. Not only has Kane carried Bryan and Punk to their best matches of the year, it's something new: each vanilla midget trying to use a monster for their own gain and now it's biting them in the ass.
Really interested to see where this goes.

I don't know if I would say that kane carried bryan/punk to their best matches, so much as the other way around. However, I do like the twist. I like Kane, and I think he is in the best shape of his career and is definitely hitting his peak. After seeing what punk and bryan are capable of with him one-on-one, this will be another show stealer from them. Looking forward to someone taking a sick bump from kane.

Also, the AJ addition has gotten me hooked to. Not so much because of the storyline, but her twitter lately has been just as interesting a read as punk's. Think a scheming, sarcastic, put up or shut up duo from them would make for a fun watch. AJ could be a mouthpiece to an already great talker. Like steph-hhh. again, basing this solely on twitter, not what she's done on camera

I think they'll put the title on Kane if Punk gets injured

I'm really digging Kane's involvement, too, but I am a bit of a Kane mark. I haven't given a fuck about the dude since he returned, though, but the idea of him having the best matches of his career at this stage of it has me pretty excited. Punk vs. Kane was seriously one of Kane's best ever.
I think the three together will be able to have a Triple Threat better than most other Triple Threats, too. It's magic whenever Punk and Bryan are in the ring together, and Kane will add that interesting dynamic. It would make perfect sense, for example, for Punk and Bryan to start off working together, and Kane actually playing the guy that is teamed up on at the start of the match. They can do the usual spots where Punk and Bryan go to double suplex Kane, but then Kane suplexes them both over. But then I think it will settle into a rhythm, where I think Punk and Bryan will almost "compete" with each other as they wear down Kane.
I would love to see a spot where Bryan is kicking the crap out of Kane ("YES! YES! YES!") only for Kane to sit up, Bryan to freak and then kick him in the head again ("YES!"). Kane then sits up again. "YES!" Kane sits up again. "YES!" Kane then sits up and catches the foot of Bryan, and then tosses him out of the ring and looks to Chokeslam Punk for the win, but gets elbowed and then Punk nails Kane with the GTS...but Kane kicks out!
Could seriously be one of the best Triple Threats ever.

I like punk and Brian Danielson but they are kinda small to be world champ. Much rather see a Kane vs Mizzark vs Ryback for the WWE belt. Punk and Danielson can feud ove the IC belt.

It should seriously be given 25 minutes, and I honestly think it could be a sleeper pick when it comes to mentioning the best matches of the year. It won't be the best, by any means, but I think people will remember it and bring it up.

I was thinking about this earlier today. I kind of get what you mean. I don't think size should be held against a guy, but you need to have these smaller guys prove to the audience that they can actually hang with the bigger guys, and that the WWE Championship isn't the Cruiserweight Championship. I think Bryan managed to look good on SmackDown! earlier this year against Big Show and Henry, but then he got kicked in the face and lost in 18 seconds.
Bryan needs to demonstrate why people should take this guy billed as being only 210lbs (and is realistically much smaller) so seriously. Working with guys who look like legitimate freaks of nature (I mean that as a compliment) would help.

Didn't he do that at extreme rules?
Sheamus is a beast and Bryan took him apart before getting caught at the end.

I didn't see that match, but I just desperately want to see the gimmicked kicks of Bryan meet the gimmicked sit-up of Kane.
