Now, IF there was a great arrogant up and coming heel lower/midcard guy (maybe IC or US champion but not necessarily) who was on a great roll, (Ziggler?) maybe have him (the heel) issue an open challenge and have a surprise returning Vader accept with the result being:

a) Vader dominates and the lower card heel cheats to win the first match, leading to a short feud and a second great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly, or

b) if it's truly only a one off for Vader, have them both have a great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly.

My point was it couldn't be much worse than the match between Cena and Laurinaitis, which main evented a pay-per-view last month. If anything, Punk/Bryan/Kane should be the main event at No Way Out, with Show/Cena and Sheamus/Vader on the undercard.
