3 hours and 15 minutes of Raw every Monday MAY be a bit much barring a complete overhaul of the creative team...

Vader looked okay, but I can't help but think it was because Slater sold every move like a fucking champ.

This show was just... ugh, we're getting ready for this permanently? UGH.
Punk/Bryan was Okay. Kane/AJ was bizarre. Ziggler is the 34th reincarnation of the buddah. Rest of this show was a feces waterfall overflowing into your shoes.
Disagree, although I am not familiar with that analogy. Pretty entertaining Raw for me, although ending wasn't great for mine.
On a related note, AJ's got almost as nice squat legs as Kaitlyn. Motivates me to do legs at the gym.

Vader was hot shit. Loved it. Give him a break on his physique, he is 57 years old for christ sake. He debuted in the AWA before most of you were born.
57, that is older than Fanboy favorite Kevin Nash, who couldnt move like that 5 years ago.
The Vader bomb was SICK. He is the man. How many guys in the WWE use that move these days, and none of them make it look nearly as good. Vader gets Big air and uses the buckle for leverage while these other idiots just bounce and kind of jump backwards.

One thing I really don’t get, and it’s probably for reason of no one in creative thinking of it, is not giving Vader the title shot for Sunday. It would’ve been an interesting draw on a very generic card and could've played into Johnny trying to do creative stuff to keep his job. They could mention how he never won the title in the WWF/E and give him one final match.
Sheamus vs. Vader would be a blast.

You agree with replacing your number one contender with someone who hasnt wrestled for the WWE in 13ish years, who is 58 years old and cannot work a non squash, in a title match at a PPV.
I am one of the biggest Vader marks in the world. But buy rates wouldnt change and on that, and most people wouldnt care.

No, not for the World title anyway.
Now, IF there was a great arrogant up and coming heel lower/midcard guy (maybe IC or US champion but not necessarily) who was on a great roll, (Ziggler?) maybe have him (the heel) issue an open challenge and have a surprise returning Vader accept with the result being:
a) Vader dominates and the lower card heel cheats to win the first match, leading to a short feud and a second great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly, or
b) if it's truly only a one off for Vader, have them both have a great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly.

I have a feeling there will be no resolution to this AJ thing at No Way Out and it will just make me sad. WWE has a habit lately of building, building, building and then not worrying about finishing decent stories. (Eve/Ryder, Silent Jericho, etc.). This Raw set up perfectly for a "Who is AJ gonna help win???" leading to a big climactic moment at the PPV. And I feel like it's gonna end up with more questions than answers and then storyline continues and just peters out subtly.
Please prove me wrong, WWE.

Unfortunately, if the recent past is any indication, I'm afraid you may be right. Although I really hope not and for a good payoff or cool progression of the storyline at least.
At the same time, it's pretty obvious at this point she's going to help one of them win, it's just a matter of who and how. Whatever happens, if she costs Punk the title, I hope they do it well and it's something unique and somewhat unpredictable that will keep us interested and entertained, instead of just "Yeah, AJ interfered and turned on Punk costing him the title."

He could barely lift himself off the mat. I'm a huge vader fan, but the guy shouldn't be anywhere near the title right now. If he continues to drop weight and get in better shape then MAYBE, but for now he should just be a special attraction.

I'm talking about a one-off title match on pay-per-view, not a big chase or something for the title. No question Sheamus would help him pull out a good match less than 10 minutes. A win over Vader would do a lot more for him than another win over Ziggler.

So to make a better main event, you would put a hoss against a slow overweight hoss?
I would put Shaemus against another guy in his prime, but hey what do I know?
Also, the main event is irrelevant, because the world heavyweight title hasn't main evented a ppv in a long time, and Vader wouldn't change that.

Sheamus was never in the main event, nor did I suggest a match between him and Vader should be. My point was it couldn't be much worse than the match between Cena and Laurinaitis, which main evented a pay-per-view last month. If anything, Punk/Bryan/Kane should be the main event at No Way Out, with Show/Cena and Sheamus/Vader on the undercard.

Sheamus vs. Vader for the World Heavyweight title would be better than the main event of last month's.
as a main event, no it wouldn't. Not at all given the crowd investment and what they were "getting over". And the "most of the current crap offered on PPV" is a ridiculous post.
However, Sheamus vs. an unannounced Vader in the WHC match on the PPV undercard for 6-8 minutes would have been fun and I'd rather have seen that/would have been a "better moment" than the match with Slater on RAW. That said, I'm not about to complain that Dolph is in a more prominent spot for the show.

Again, I never said that they should main event.
Sheamus vs. Vader in the match on the undercard for eight minutes would've been a better idea than using Ziggler. The majority of you will likely continue to disagree, as it seems to be the "cool Internet thing" to be in love with Ziggler.
There's no doubt if Johnny or Vince asked the crowd Monday night who they wanted to see Sheamus defend the title against at No Way Out, Vader would've definitely been cheered over Christian, Dolph, Great Khali, and Swagger.

You pick vader for No Way Out, you get a short match, that probably won't be very good, and won't really lead to anything, and will only serve as a spectacle.
You pick Ziggler, you get a 15-20 minute match which will in all likelyhood be anywhere from solid to great, and it could kick start a larger feud between the two, possibly cementing Ziggler as a main eventer.
But I'm sure I'm just trying to be "cool" by saying that.

Honestly, I haven't watched an episode of RAW since WrestleMania, but heard about Vader and now plan to watch at least up until the 1000th RAW, just to see who else might show up during the next several weeks. I still want to know what would be a more realistic version of a scripted fight? Should every angle involve an ex-girlfriend or the wrestlers being rotten drunk? That's generally the main things that preceed a fight. Or are we talking about a realistic competition, in which case there would be no angles, like boxing.
