With all these dudes pulling out of fights with illness or injury as of late. I imagine.Dana realizes that he needs to expand and locatea talent. I wouldn't be suprised if they started doing two or maybe three Ultimate Fighters. Why wouldn't you? You need to expand your brand and get people familiar with your fighters. It pays off with more ppv buys.

Anyways Nog pulled out

There's only so much PPV quality talent out there. It won't equate to PPV buys if most of the resulting talent is mediocre. Him doing Ultimate Fighter in Brazil and expanding operations there is going to help discover more talent, but the real quality and future stars are probably still in middle school and high school. MMA has only become mainstream and a viable source of income for talented athletes in the last 8 to 10 years. The younger ones training are where the future is at.

Plus, fighters are pulling out because they can afford to now, since Zuffa insures all fighters under contract and covers injuries sustained while training and/or fighting whereas before fighters were responsible for their health insurance and really had no choice but to go into a fight injured or sick. Adding mediocre talent won't change that. If anything, they should cut down on the number of shows they do so the top talents have more time to recover. The top boxers fight at most twice a year. UFC fighters go out there three or four times a year.

Uncle Dana knew that this would be a part of the fallout from insuring fighters' injuries. They don't 'have to gut through the pain' anymore to get the check and insuarance. I think that in the long run, this is good for the sport, as we will be privy to a lot of new stars coming up from the ashes of these fat cats pulling out of fights.

Yea it sucks. Every month someone pulls out of the coming months' ppv it seems.
They have to change something in their sparring or training or whatever it is. UFC should take note of the causes of all of these injuries and instill something to help prevent them..but of course you can't avoid every inujry.

Haha, Fedor finally retired.

Shouldve done it after Henderson handed him his ASS, but Fedor decided to do a few fights against crappy old guys to go out "winning".
SO LAME :nono:

Couldn't believe so many people thought Fedor was still #1 when Brett Rogers almost took him out.

Because he's been in trouble many times before and still won. Plus he took Rogers' head off. Haven't you seen the gifs where his head is flying off?
