Smackdown's MitB match seems pretty random with the names so far and yet makes it a lot more interesting just to see who actually wins it. Christian would be the safe bet but Sandow or Kidd winning would be pretty amazing.

Thinking Barrett will come back next week and get into the match to win it. Definitely can't see any of these four winning.

Though seeing as how WWE loves pulling out a shocker with MITB (Bryan winning last year completely came out of left field) part of me thinks Santino ACTUALLY has a shot.

Sweet. Looking forward to the SD MITB much more than the Raw one... Especially if the Raw one only has 4 people.
Are there any other former WWE champions on the roster? Other than HHH & Taker, of course. God that match is likely to suck.

Mysterio, Del Rio, Miz, Foley and Lesnar.

Oh. and The Rock. If they wanted to go 8, they COULD put those first four in it. They won't though.

06-27-2012, 04:37 AM
Oh shit Del Rio. Him and Miz need to go in, leaving Ziggler free to battle Sheamus. Ideally anyway. They'll probably just have Del Rio go for Sheamus and Ziggler in the WHC MITB.
If Mysterio is back and healthy, he'd be a great addition to the match. I don't like the thought of having 2 big guys in the match if it's just 4 people though. Kane as the token big man in the 6 way matches was usually pretty good for a couple of spots though.

Really think that out of the people named so far Santino looks the most likely to win that MitB :-\
Hopefully Barrett does come back next week to enter, or Cody wins a last chance battle royal or something.

After Bryan last year and seeing the smack down list so far, I really see them going two different ways with the winners.
The raw winner will be a big name going into a big program. The smack down winner will be a major shocker and will be used to elevate someone from the mid card. Really think the winner is yet to join the match.

Soooooooo this is just 2 hours of AJ head games. I don't have problem with that.
I had a glimmer of hope that Sheamus would drop the title to Ziggler or Del Rio after what went down on Raw. Didn't happen. :'(

Out of the dudes in it I think he has the best chance, depending on how much they like him. But if Wade Barrett shows up it'll be him.
Ermaximus
06-27-2012, 10:48 AM
I keep thinking it'll be Wade in the end too. I could see them adding Kofi and possibly a returning Bourne, maybe Cara Monday and then Wade shows up as a mystery opponent. Now if they really wanted to blow us away, they should have Teddy add Kofi on Raw and then add Cara on Smackdown. The week after have Regal be the guest GM for the week and have him say on Raw that he has contacted a superstar who he knows will win the whole thing because like himself, he is also personified in greatness. Don't have him say who it is on Raw, but then have him book all the MitB guys in singles matches. Have Kofi face Sandow, Christian can face Santino in a champion vs champion match, Cara can face Tensai, and sadly have Kidd face the "8th man." Have Kidd waiting in the ring ready to go and then cue Regal saying he'd like to introduce to us the last and final man in the MitB, as well as the future winner, Wade Barrett.

I like him AND I like how he's being booked.
Back in the day, TV was filled almost exclusively with squash matches. And not matches filled with impressive feets and crazy spots like a Ryback squash... matches like Jake Roberts vs ... Glen... Williams...
And it got people over. Now people bitch because 2 minutes of TV time is taken up by Ryback tossing jobbers around a ring to show his power? People are too impatient these days. They want Ryback to do a couple weeks of squashes, a couple weeks of midcard, then hit the main event. They want Wade Barrett to win THE WORLD TITLE like 2 years into his existence in WWE as if he's the second coming of Ric Flair or something. NOW NOW NOW!
There's nothing wrong with a slow build to get a guy's character ingrained in your head before he grows to the next level.

Tyson Kidd is fucking phenomenal. I'm so glad that he's getting the opportunity to do something. I think that Dolph Ziggler, Hunico and Zack Ryder should be added to the match, however. Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes for the World Heavyweight Title can also happen at Money in the Bank.

06-30-2012, 10:52 AM
I think Dolph Ziggler taking the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match is the perfect development for him. Have him reveal plans to cash in the briefcase at WrestleMania. Not in an actual match, but on whoever is the World Champion after their regularly scheduled defence.
No one has done that before, and I think that would suit Ziggler's "Show Off" persona well. When else would he cash in but on the biggest stage the WWE has? It stays in line with him being a heel, though. Unlike Daniel Bryan, however, you actually build Ziggler over the next couple of months, so that when he comes out at WrestleMania, the place is really ready for that title change.

Really liked SD this week. DB coming out to distract AJ, then him trying to weasel his way back in to her good graces. SANDOW AND KIDD! MITB!
Also, they announced a battle royal with everyone big in it for GAB Smackdown. What better way for Ryback to step up another level. He comes out when the final four is Punk, Del Rio, Show, and Cena and they all get a "oh shit" look. Ryback then wins.

AJ's Twitter makes me love her. That her character has become so integral to each show is also very impressive. She'll be the Divas Champion very, very soon -- although she actually doesn't need it.
I kind of liked the way that character was dictating the way each personality was acting on SmackDown!, and not just face/heel alignment. Vickie Guerrero is loathed by people, but she actually did a very good job at trying to be a "pleasing" GM, which makes nothing but total sense. I really hope that they give William Regal a spot at running the shows, though. Still a fantastic on-screen presence whenever he does anything. I'd love to see Regal "go for broke," and decide that this might be his last chance at a World Title so he abuses his power for one week, knowing full well that he won't be made GM because of it.
It would make total sense for Punk to retain the WWE Title at Money in the Bank, but you could have Bryan win it after he gets in AJ's head. Regal then books himself as Bryan's first challenger, giving Regal a farewell match against Bryan, and then AJ turns on Bryan at the 1000th RAW where Punk cashes in his rematch and things continue going on as per normal. In fact, I absolutely think the WWE should do that.
Tyson Kidd got the jobber entrance and won a match! Fuck yes! I hope his push holds up. In my dream WWE, Kidd would be shown being congratulated by Zack Ryder in backstage segments for getting into Money in the Bank. Kidd will do what he does best -- amaze people with his amazing skills -- but doesn't win MITB. Zack Ryder would turn heel sometime very soon after that, citing ambition and a desire to be the best as his reasons. He turns on Santino Marella and wins the US Title as a result of this. Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks align themselves with Ryder, and beat-down Santino. Kidd is all "What's with that man?" and Ryder is all "Get out of my face bro!" and Kidd vs. Ryder is signed for SummerSlam with the US Title on the line. Ryder wins via countout when Hawkins & Reks come out with Bret Hart all beaten down or something. Kidd then tries to fight them, but gets beaten down -- setting up a chase for Kidd heading into Night of Champions where he wins the title. He would then go on to feud with Chris Jericho, who would claim to have always been a better wrestler than Kidd, and someone who doesn't need the Hart legacy to be a star. He also goes after the US Title because it is the only championship he has never held. Jericho then wrestles Kidd a few times and ends up putting him over huge.
In the ring Tensai has got presence and his experience is definitely a valued asset, but man do the WWE have no idea what to do with his character! The dude needs some promo time to explain why his time in Japan was so important to him. Tensai should just come out on RAW and explain that he was hated in Japan for being a "gaijin," and he didn't speak a word of Japanese when he arrived. He was attacked backstage before his matches by groups of Japanese wrestlers who didn't want to see this ex-WWE Superstar steal their spotlight, and he had to go out there exhausted and sore every time he competed. Eventually he got stronger -- he learned how to call their mother whores, how to strike first and how to take what he wanted from the promotions there. He has learned that no one truly looks out for you in this world, and you need to do it for yourself. He learned to take and not wait for opportunities to be handed to you, and he learned how good a motivator pain is. Tensai can even say that the locker-room beatings were the perfect way to prepare him for Money in the Bank, and if all the other guys in that match team up and try to take out Tensai -- it'll be just like home to him.
I'm not sure how Matt Bloom is as a promo, but if he believes what he is saying, I think it could be a pretty good way to make people invest in the Tensai character, which is all that is holding him back right now.
Cody Rhodes seems like he is going to protest not being included in Money in the Bank. I got the eerie feeling that he will weasel into the match and probably win it. Personally, I'd rather have Rhodes told that he lost and he's out, so he attacks Sheamus on The Great American Bash SmackDown and challenges Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title at MITB -- not needing a "stupid Ladder Match" to do it.
Mr. Nerfect
06-30-2012, 09:38 PM
Bryan is a fucking amazing character. His heel turn has been the best thing to ever happen to him, because he's found this personality there that people can latch onto. When he eventually turns face again, he will be more over than ever before. And fuck can he have a great match with anyone on the entire fucking roster. You could seriously release a DVD series of his matches with fucking Kane if you had them spend some more time working together.
As I stated, I'd be totally on board for Bryan manipulating his way back into AJ's graces and some sort of screwjob ending against CM Punk at Money in the Bank leading to Bryan officially becoming the new WWE Champion. He then dumps AJ on RAW right after it because he doesn't need her anymore. Regal then puts himself into a match against Bryan that night (Regal can be the acting GM for that week) and Bryan beats Regal in the main event. Punk then comes out and puts Bryan to sleep to close the show. The 1000th RAW sees Bryan vs. Punk in a Submission Match, and AJ makes her presence known that match and helps Punk win back the title. Punk then moves into a program with John Cena as Bryan is all upset at AJ. Kane comes out to stand up for AJ, though, and we get Kane vs. Bryan and Punk vs. Cena at SummerSlam.
It's a lot happening in the weeks between Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, but with RAW going three hours, I think that will be the idea.
