Or is it 12?

Anyways, anyone getting this for PS3?

I usually get the NCAA games, but I've honestly been so fucking busy the last few months that I've paid no attention to my PS3. I feel like an asshole for that. So to answer your questions, if it's remotely ok I'll probably pick it and Madden up.

I preordered NCAA 13 on Amazon and got it for less than $50. I love college football over the NFL, and believe the NCAA game is a better game than Madden. The demo plays well, but I am concerned about the ungodly amount of picks I've thrown in the demo.

Dynasty mode is like crack. I'm tempted to get it as soon as it's released, but I know that will kill my productivity in life for about 3 weeks.

Other than playing online with friends, all I play is Dynasty. I love the new Coach Carousel feature. Last year, I started out as OC at ULL for a year, went to Cal for 3 years as OC, LSU for 2 years as OC, and then became HC at Arkansas. I like the Coordinator gig because it makes games quicker as well as getting you more invested in the game as you have "career goals" and hope X job opens up and so on. There were some bugs with it that need to be fixed (in my 20th year, it automatically gave me a 2nd job as OC of Syracuse and I couldn't edit my depth charts or anything for Arkansas unless I did it in the pause menu of an actual game) and some features I'd like to be in (would like to be able to not take a job and sim a year or 2). One of the things on the carousel that needs to be fixed is the hiring AI. Some of it is unrealistic and irrational. A HC is fired so they hire the OC, a former HC of school is hired as a OC, a school hires the same guy as HC 2-3 times despite firing him every time just because he is an alumni, a HC from a huge school taking a small school coordinator job (Ex. Chip Kelly got fired from Oregon and took the OC job at friggin' Idaho.) I'd also enjoy it if they didn't make Alabama and USC just fucking ungodly every single fucking year.

Did they steal this aspect from ESPN?

Probably. FFS, Alabama was 98-99 in everything every single year over 20 years in Dynasty. USC wasn't that bad, but they are always fucking ungodly to play against.

Amazon is still selling it for $45 with free two day shipping. I wonder what gives on the price since every other legit merchant has it listed for $60.

They can afford to undersell it for the same reason Wal-Mart can undersell a bunch of items. When you are a huge merchant and sell millions of hundreds of thousands of items, what is $15 per unit on a video game you might double sales in because of the $15 off MSRP?

Anyone playing this yet? Thoughts?

Yeah, I like it. Heisman mode is a waste, but I'm either playing dynasty or online. The passing system is much better, but if you just throw 4 Verts then you will throw nothing but picks. It is a lot harder to run outside. It is worth a buy if you love college football, but I always thought of you as more of an NFL guy so I'd wait on Madden with all it's new bells and whistles.

Tempted to get this. I got NCAA Football 2012 used on the cheap, but I played the ever loving shit out of 2011. UConn started as like a 3 star school and I managed to turn it into a dynasty. Felt so rewarding after landing those first couple of 5 star recruits. Normally had to promise to not redshirt them their first year on campus, often resulting in a wasted year - but after getting into a rhythm I was able to land some talented dudes straight away.

Do you not have an EA account from past Madden and NCAA games? It is usually linked to your XBox Live account. There should be a "Online Pass" code insert inside the game, if you bought it new.

I think i.figured out my problem.

I played two games on regular dynasty and I really loved it. The controls seem smoother than ever. They clearly wanted to stop people from just throwing bombs, but probably went a tad overboard. At times it seems like the DB will grow 10ft and jump and pick the ball off. I love the in game highlight of another game going on. I also like the bottom line ticker that flashes upset alerts among other things. I don't remember if it shows the game score and a player stat, or just the score. Hoping theres a player stat too.

recruiting is still way too tedious, but I can live with it.

Dunno what the word is from other sources, but legit LOL'd when I read the GameInformer review in their August issue. It actually took console GotM honors (I think they scored it an 8.75/10)

Sometimes, replays/cut-in graphics are laggy and choppy as fuck. Also, I have noticed that players quit running and slide on the grass or a player will get tackled and be stuck in that position as the other players walk around their corpse. Not gamebreakers, but pretty damn shitty looking for such a well-established franchise. Fun game, but they need to release another patch.

Everything but the game play itself, is painfully slow.
